Connecting Apple TV to a projector

    Anyone know if I can connect an Apple TV to a projector via a HDMI cable and play videos directly from it similar to a USB stick? Bought a projector recently and it has a USB port but it's for power only. Not sure if Apple TV works like a hard drive or whether it is only like a casting device?

    Yes via HDMI and VGA.
    you cannot use USB in any capacity with the Apple TV to transfer images or sound.
