Hi, looking for recommendations on gyms in swords, looking at flyefit, gym plus or fingal body transformation studios. Parking charges are putting me off flyefit the opening hours are handy. Gym plus is expensive but it's nearer to my job. I'm looking for a decent weights and conditioning area, and not too busy in the a.m. Any advice would be appreciated if you've ever been or a member of these. Cheers

Flyefit in Swords is huge so it's your best bet. As for parking, most people park in the adjourning car park at airside and just stroll over

if you do this you'll be clamped and pay 120 for the pleasure.

flyefit have about 20 free spots in an nearby carpark thats it - free for 2 hours only after that you pay.

Im in fingal body transformation and I find it quite decent. I was in flyefit before and I really liked flyefit but left due to the paid parking. I was going 5 times a week and I wasn't forking out that much on parking.

FBT doesn't have the gear that flyefit has but it has a decent array of gear and everything you need plus you never have to wait on a machine or rack.
they run spin and studio classes also.
It's as cheap as flyefit and no parking issues.
Opening hours are decent but it's not 24hour like flyefit.

Also Image Gym in the castle shopping centre is fairly reasonably price - great place if you into weights - free parking also.

Only other spot I've used is gym plus - formerly energie - not a huge fun tbh but they do have a pool/sauna/steam room..

King of kings, just wondering why your not a fan of gym plus, thanks for the input. Looks like you've been in a lot of gyms!

Gym Plus is a good little gym. They are more focused on cardio machines than strength & conditioning but there's plenty of equipment. Busier in the evenings than the mornings in my experience.

been going to the gym since I was 25 and I'm 40 now so I've knocked about swords area a fair bit.

I was a member of gym-plus when it was energie (and jackie skelly) - I went up recently on a free pass and found a lot of the weights still the same stuff in fact in all those years I didn't see much improvement or change

Nothing wrong per se , I just didn't click with the place.
For 49e a month I prob wanted a bit more..

although if the cardio stuff, pool , sauna , steam room and are for you then its' spot on.
For what i wanted - I felt there was better in swords esp at that price.

I have just recently joined Flyefit in Swords and find it very good. I am there at 6.30am so no problem using equipment and can easily do supersets to get you out quicker. The only problem i have is the actual size I would normally do a strength and conditioning workout but all the racks and weights are downstairs and the conditioning equipment is on the second floor so it limits what i want to do, but otherwise its good.

Has anyone done the flatline class that is on in the morning, just wondering is it a good workout.
