Personal trainer ?

    Hi folks

Joined a gym and I am enjoying it but feel a wee bit underwhelmed with all the machines, I have looked up online certain lifting exercises like deadlift, squat, bench etc. My main goal is to lose weight then bulk. I think their is a decent personal trainer near enough to me. I think if I could learn the form and what to do etc I would feel more confident when I’m in the gym. Do you think it’s a good idea? And if so for how long a few lessons? And roughly how much would I be paying out?

    Cheers

Get a package of ten or so lessons explaining you want to learn form on big lifts.

Look up starting strength on the Internet.

Join a gym do starting strength until you plateau.

You may get weaker as you lose weight but probably not as a beginner.

Then come back and I’ll give you more advice.

Eat healthy but don’t overthink it just yet. Cut out the chocolate binging and stuff like that first eat real foods instead of things that go in the oven still in the packet.

Don’t bother buying supplements or proteins or steroids or any magic beans just yet your trainer may try sell something he is on commission probably.

That should keep you going or any other beginner for 10-20 weeks.
