Katie Hopkins has had her passport confiscated and been prevented from leaving South Africa after being accused by the country's authorities of 'spreading racial hatred'.

The unpopular media pundit, who has had a dramatic week after collapsing in the street and taking ketamine for an agonising shoulder dislocation, revealed she's been temporarily banned from getting on her flight home.

Also, I'm pretty sure if you're 'detained' that your belongings including recording equipment is withheld.

So maybe 'being questioned by immigration control' is probably a more accurate description of what has happened.

Because, in this case, the documentary maker is Katie Hopkins.

It'd be a bit like Joseph Fritzel making a documentary on historical clerical child abuse in the Catholic Church - the topic may be valid, but the the credibility of the person discussing it is as important.
