Eir were the ones who left the broadband plan and I can't see that sticking to the government too much. The people in larger urban areas don't give too much of a toss about rural access to the internet.
FG are rising in popularity based on the last opinion poll. Mind you the abortion referendum could blow back in FG's face with conservatives handing a few votes over to FF.
The SF army will be on a high now that Mary Lou has taken over from Gerry.
IMO it would be pretty dumb of FF to start a heave at this point so yeah it will probably happen. :D

    Oh the irony.

    The Irony.

so, yup, this is it, the big 'reason', vote of confidence etc, gibberish, etc.

    Which means a spring election.

I'd have assumed it would be May.

    Still.

Ah Timmy. Me n you kid, we had a run in back in the day. Indirectly.

    Com 'on the Banner!

    lol.

Mod: This manner of posting is not constructive. No more please.

We sat again for an hour and a half discussing maps and figures and always getting back to that most damnable creation of the perverted ingenuity of man - the County of Tyrone.

I have to wonder what the issue is with the tender that so few were initially interested and now everyone but one have pulled out? The statement that the process is too complicated sounds nonsense - surely it's the same as all other state tenders which these companies (1) have done before and (2) have departments who specialise in these applications.

Mod: This thread is not about rural Ireland and urban Ireland. Stay on topic please.
