What's the longest and shortest scheduled flight that you're been on? (NON STOP ONLY)

Shortest: On my way to NJ the Continental Airlines B752 I was travelling in stopped in Shannon in 2006, but the shortest (actual proper flight) I have been on was a Ryanair B732 from Dublin to Blackpool in 2005.

The longest I have been on was a Delta B763 from Dublin to Atlanta in 2000.

Shortest was Jersey to Guernsey on an aurigny turboprop (took about 15 mins)
Longest was Heathrow to Las Vegas on a BA 747. Ten hours in the air.

Shortest: Does Galway airport to the aran islands count? If not I'm scheduled to fly Leknes to Bodo later this month - about a 12min flight time and great circle distance of 104km.

Longest: Doha -Melbourne nearly 12,000km

Longest was probably LAX to Sydney (went to OZ the opposite way from normal)

Shortest in terms of distance was Dublin to Galway. But I've been on a Liverpool to Dublin flight which made it in 23 minutes (back in the good old days when you could be cheeky and get a jumpseat on a 737-200).

Longest either Kuala Lumpur to LHR or DUB-LAX.

Shortest: Dublin to IOM and then IOM to Blackpool way back in the 70's. I was only about 5 or 6 at the time.

Longest: London Heathrow to Tokyo, just before the in flight entertainment in seats became the norm. We had the journey map in front of us for the 12 or so hours, 9 of those hours being over Russia.

Shortest: DUB to SNN. Apparently, as the crow flies, this is about 195km but just on the stopover so not a scheduled flight as such

This only marginally beats USM-KBV which I did a couple of years ago on a Bangkok Airways ATR 72-500. That was 200 km, took about 25 minutes

Longest: LHR-KUL, A380, approx 10,600 km

I always laugh at that one, its clearly a connecting flight for people, but the ICE is an hour station to station so I'm always amazed it keeps going.

For me :

Shortest: Dublin - Liverpool, 228km

Shortest: Nuremberg - Frankfurt, 191km. We spent more time sitting on the ground with a technicians head in the underbelly of the plane than we did flying
