Nice place in Dublin to jog after dark?

So, I live beside Bushy Park, but only small sections of it are lit up when it’s dark, so it’s not the ideal place to go for a jog. I’m always afraid I’ll hurt my ankle in a little pothole or something in the path.

I’d prefer running somewhere amongst nature, or by the sea. I’ll probably head to Dub Laohhaire now.

Has anyone else any suggestions, for future runs?

(I suppose I could run in the park if I bought one of those head torch things, but I just imagine they’re a bit uncomfortable, since your head does be bobbing a lot when running. If anyone could recommend a decent one let me know!)

If you're contemplating going to Dun Laoghaire, then how about the coast road out from Ringsend? Could start at the GAA grounds there - Sean Moore Park - and head out the path by the sea. Nice wide path, along by the sea. Used to enjoy running out that way.

don't people go running along the road between the park and the tesco there? it's a long straight footpath
and the park/river would be on your left

I could actually, but occasionally I fancy a change of scenery. I’ve lived around here my whole life so wouldn’t mind having a list of other places to go. I often get the urge to go jogging at night.

I’ll check out the route the poster above mentioned also!

There's no route as such. Just a nice long stretch to go running on.
