Got my tickets for Dublin, probably gonna do Glasgow as well. Governor's ball in NY is tempting but gonna hold off pulling the trigger until news of a NJ show.

I'd prefer to go to the Dublin one, pain in the &^%$ getting home from Hammersmith (at least it's a Friday) but feck it, I've not been to a Gaslight or Fallon gig in a looooong time so it'll be worth it!

going to pick them up on Friday in the general sale, no standing left at the moment in the presale.
e: tried again 10mins later and there were no tickets at all, tried again 20mins after that and got standing :)

It's Vicar St, there's nothing stopping you from entering the standing section with a seated ticket.

IN VICAR STREET WHERE'S BEST TO SIT? NO IDEA WHAT SECTION TO BOOK AS WAS NEVER THERE

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14 mynextdevice

Did anybody manage to get tickets this morning in the pre-sale seems like none went on sale at all. App was saying sit tight loading tickets then when it refreshed it said tickets on sale on Friday at 10.

The Spotify presale? Went on sale at 11.

Did you mange to get some at 11am?

Is listed on Ticketmaster site at 10am but then Spotify isn't spelt properly on the listing and when trying to buy at 10am the app changed from tickets not available to searching for them but then loaded not on sale until Friday.

I assume the people who managed to get tickets earlier in the week must have bought up all the pre sale tickets.

I got some yesterday, but the Spotify link was giving me them, password is different though. It's gaslight2018

    No need to shout :pac:

Vicar St. is that small that I don't think it matters although if sitting I'd prefer to be up on the balcony than at the back down below. Sitting at a Gaslight gig is sacrilege though :D

I would doubt there will be many tickets released tomorrow for the general sale, a friend just got a Spotify presale a few minutes ago so maybe a few more left.

Just got two tickets there. Found a spotify link. Code gaslight2018

Might be going to the London gig (if my friend gets them) Still gonna get someone to try and get a ticket for Dublin anyways. Is it easy to get from the balcony to the floor ?

Very easy in my experience. Go to the bar downstairs and then just walk on to the floor. It's worked for me.

Tickets up on seatwave already. I hate people sometimes (most of the time)

Got mine through the BandsInTown app on Tuesday (the "fan presale" that was very badly explained!). Can't wait!

They've 3 days off before Dublin - scope for adding a second night?

There's only 2 nights free in between London and Dublin. I'd say it's more likely they add extra
gig in London for the Saturday night but ya never know

Got 2 standing tickets just now....deeeeeeeelighted!

Had to sit in the nosebleeds in Olympia for them before, cannot wait. :)

Had to settle for a seated ticket, but glad to be going!

They just added a second London show on the Saturday night, tickets on sale Tuesday. Might be an option for some.

Picked up seating tickets, thanks for the heads up.

Is this just a general gig, or are they playing 59 Sound only?

Also, where did those 10 years go :(

Saw setlists on Twitter from the first couple of anniversary shows. They're playing the full 59 Sound album in order, with 4 or 5 other songs before and after it.

is there seating for this? never in vicar street, what's the balcony like?

Just listening to the album again, it really is one of the best albums I've ever heard. Can't wait for this gig.

The Patient Ferris Wheel really is an absolute belter of a tune.

Just notice my tickets are balcony standing , is it easy just walk into the standing area downstairs?

Theoretically yes, really depends on how full the downstairs is, they seem to be more strict just before the main act comes on. Of course if you happen to know 2 people with standing tickets..........

So get in a good bit before they come on just to be safe :)

Not sure if it was already been said but Dave Hause and Matthew Ryan are support on the night.

Flatliners cancelled the tour, Hause is the far superior replacement imo.......

Heads-up - the time on the tickets is wrong. Doors are at 7pm, not 8.

    7:30 - Matt Ryan
    8:10 - Dave Hause
    9:15 - Gaslight Anthem

    Can't wait!

Short notice, but 2 free tickets for whoever can pick them up in Sandyford. I can't go now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51 ✭✭GuitarTown

Two free pdf tickets on the off chance anyone still needs very last minute ones. Raging I can't go

Supreme tight set. All killer no filler ðŸ˜

Yeah quality. Thought the atmosphere was great and they got an amazing reception.

The 59 sound playthrough was brilliant, really tight and loads of energy. Crowd knew all the words also.

Felt the momentum dipped a bit after that. His stage chat has never been great and no mad love personally for the songs they played from Get hurt. Overall great gig though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,539 ✭✭✭ghostdancer

Good gig. 59 Sound was great as expected. a few odd song choices from the others they played, would have like Blue Jeans and White T-Shirts, Queen Of Lower Chelsea, We Came To Dance which they played over the previous 2 gigs, or a couple more from Sink or Swim. still great though, 4 songs before the album, and 9 after was great value!

Big fan of Brian telling the crowd to stop clapping, one of my pet hates at gigs, how music fans can't clap in time is beyond me.

I think I lost about a stone through sweating too :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 354 ✭✭MojoRisinnnn

The lad shouting 'Up the Ra' right before they started playing the album was absolutely perfect.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,400 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Great gig as per usual. Thought it was going to be a bare minimum type gig with them blasting through the songs with minimal interaction but it livened up a bit after they played the album.

Really enjoyed the set list. I actually seem to be one of the minority who enjoys Get Hurt so it was nice to hear a few tracks from that. Halloween is one of my favorite songs in general so great to hear that too, same goes for Howl.

Only real complaints I’d have were the lack of songs from Sink or Swim, although that’s to be expected at a Gaslight gig these days, and Keepsake so close to the end of the set list, it’s a great song but really killed the atmosphere.
