Irritating Corden put back in his box by New Yorkers

James Corden, Sting and Shaggy went onto a subway train in New York.

He and his buddies started belting out annoying songs on the subway but the people of New York were having none of it.

In the video, the trio start off their karaoke with Sting's 'Every Step You Take', but they're told to 'shut the **** up' by a bloke dressed as a builder.

Trying not to be swayed by the brutal shutdown, they move further down the carriage and start blasting Shaggy's 'It Wasn't Me' until a woman savagely says to Corden: "No one wants to hear you sing."

Despite the TV host begging the subway audience to allow him to create a 'viral moment', they told the trio to find another train to bother.
However, the clip culminates in the builder squaring up to Corden and promising to take him out if he and his famous pals don't get lost. After failing to comply with this threat, the British star promptly gets clocked in the face and the camera cuts to black.

    Fake?

The pic above looks like a set up .... having said that, Corden is really annoying - roaring over the star he's carpooling with and sycophantically gazing at them...it's all a bit unsettling

Has to be fake - as if you'd stop at only one punch on Cordon

This is a skit. Was hoping he got a slap though, but it's not real.

Sting should have called The Police.

Grabs coat before getting a punch. :D

So poorly done like. The punch is barely a punch a misses by a mile. Sting can't act. Cordon is a piece of ****.

Shaggy is looking good though. Hasn't aged a day since Mr. Boombastic!

American affection towards him is one thing I will never understand.

If this actually happened, then it would be buried, deleted forgotten about.
There's impression management needed for someone as irritating as Corden.

He co-wrote and starred in Gavin & Stacey, which was a genuinely enjoyable show that had some very clever jokes in it. For that he deserves credit.

But it seems like his ego has swelled a bit since then. He's probably not a bad guy but is certainly quite loud and overbearing and not someone whose company you could bear for too long.

Did you actually watch it? It's completely fake.

I'd imagine they were "poking fun" at Kimmell and his schtick where he brings acts down to the subway.

Well done for helping them create their viral video.

Seen this earlier and was hoping it was true.  When I watched I just realised it was a badly acted skit for the Grammy Awards that he was hosting.  And Sting's bleach blonde hairstyle is ridiculous!!

He's a British comedian who moved to the USA.

As Stewart Lee said in the video; "England's loss is America's loss".

A lack of talent is what you need to get to the top.

I didn't know he was hated that much. I like him on A League of Their Own and Gavin and Stacey was brilliant.

The thing in the op seems like they were trying to make a joke of people trying to make viral videos but it just wasn't that funny.

Can be annoying but meh, doesn't bother me too much. I think all four regulars are hilarious, on that show anyway.

I was just going to say I think he's completely innocuous. He's not the most interesting person in the world but I don't think he's particularly awful or anything. I don't know why people hate him.

There's much better people to be hating, like the guy with the wig who does that daytime show where people are baited into belting each other. Or the guy with the bleached hair and constipated-looking orange face who makes the silly tweets. Or the guy who looks like he's malnourished who does the Late Late show.

Ok, I guess it's a bit like Piers Morgan, I wouldn't know the first thing about him either (except everyone hates him).

If it was a PR stunt for the Grammys it didn't work. Viewership was done 20% on last year, the lowest in its history. Too much politics and virtue signalling seems to be the reason.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,376 ✭✭✭Shemale

Its the roaring laughing at unfunny things he says and the fact he trys to slag people and when they reply and nail him, he has a massive strop.
