Separating from partner

    Hi,
    Just looking for advice or experience on separating from a partner when sharing a child and living in a council house.
    What happens?
    My family don't have the room to house me and my son and I certainly don't have the money to just leave and rent a house. I'm all up in the air and I really don't want to be in this relationship anymore.
    Can I even apply for another council house in my own county if I leave?
    So confused. Any advice would be much appreciated.
