    As of this evening the world cup & Winbledon is over & the Tour de France has started... 3 more off the list!! Must be close to half way on the list now.

    Saw an ad on TV last night for the new series of The Great British Bake Off coming soon. That seems to have become another show that people associate with the count down to Christmas.

    One of the things I love about Bake Off is that it begins when the evenings are still long and by the time it ends they're much shorter and cosier. Definitely feels like part of the countdown to Christmas to me.
