May I point out again that Aguero is not a good peno taker, should have been saved.

Had a look there, 80% conversion (36 out of 45). Not amazing but not at all bad either.

I always thought he strikes them pretty well.

Otamendi was on for bonus as well, disgusted

I like that goal for lots of reasons.

That Newcastle goal potentially good news for Aguero owners. Less likely to get subbed now.

There is no player in this world that gives me the terrors when he steps up to take a penalty. The King of the 'jesus I can't believe he got away with that'

There was a Swansea one that really took the biscuit. Fernandez was involved. Can't remember the exact details, just that it was a farce.

Fernandez should have been awarded an assist but it went to Neil Taylor instead, total farce of a thing alright.

EDIT: Other way around, Taylor assist not given. Went to Fernandez instead.

If Aguero is following Sterling's shot in instead of watching it, its 3-1 there and another precious Aguero (c) goal, Sterling assist.

Probably "gets away with it" due to the sheer force he strikes the ball with, the guy can really leather it.

The stats would bear out if he was a poor penalty taker, he's taken enough now. Can't keep getting lucky over this amount of years.

As far as EPL penalties goes he's pretty much bang on the average conversion rate (84% conversion).

Not an exceptional taker by any means (you have to be hitting over 90% to be considered an excellent taker I would say), but by no means awful.

That seems very good to me, what's Messi, Ronaldo and Kane if you don't mind, or can ya post the link you got the stats from.

Yeah the likes of Gerrard and Rooney have mid-70s conversion (and a decent sample size). If you wanted to point to terrible takers that would be a ood place to start, Aguero is considerably better than them.

I think you're right as he's only a little off Lampard who would have been considered a very solid taker, 84% ain't bad at all
