So to cut a long story short the screen on my phone stopped working (8 months old) and I sent it back to Tesco to get fixed (still under warranty). They came back to me and said they wouldn't fix it under the warranty as there was physical damage to the phone and wanted 190 euro to fix it. I've attached pictures of the phone to show the so called 'physical damage'.

Anyone else experience anything like this with them?

Physical damage doesn't necessarily mean exterior damage, i.e. damage to the digitizer or other internal components could be the culprit.

Your only real option is to get a secondary opinion from a phone repair specialist or possibly emailing Tesco for more details as to what damage they believe they found.

This isn't really the place for this kind of thread, TM have their own forum on here :

I used to fix mobile phones and physical damage could easily be caused by someone sitting on a phone on a couch and it bends until the digitiser snaps, not necessarily the screen...

There are a few ways it can be damaged without physically seeing it, I'm not suggesting you have damaged it this way but the tech may, I'd say bring it to a third party if you don't get a suitable resolution...
