Hi I answered a +37 number on Viber without thinking on Monday, an automated machine said hold the line and cut off. I reported the number to an Eir rep over the phone and he said not to worry as it was on Viber and the caller could not intercept the phone over data. Is this true? The number rang a second time yesterday for a split second and stopped calling. I deleted the vibe app after this. I am slightly worried not as gardai have released the falling info in the link below.

    Hi Jonny_b,

We are aware of an increase of scam/phishing calls been made to members of the public at the minute. I would recommend ignoring these calls from unsolicited numbers.

    Thanks

    Tracey
