I was in the Ajax stadium in Amsterdam a few years ago doing a tour and they have murals and posters of Tina Turner all over the place, she did the opening concert or something and she was a bit of a legend in the place.

As I say, this was Amsterdam so my memory might be hazy at best

Did they tell her to cover up a bit, previous appearance she was, shall we say "scantly clad", especially for 1989.

Just getting back to the new Irish music doesn't get airplay - it's so impressive what some of the young uns are doing

    That'll Be the Day 22:00 - 23:50 (110 min.)
    TalkingPictures
    Tue 02.06.2020
    [Movie] (1973) [15]

    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070788/
Said to be based on the early life of John Lennon, it's important to note that this is actually not a rock movie. This is more of a kitchen sinker than anything else, which is ok of course, just be prepared if you haven't seen it before

A school dropout leaves home and drifts through a succession of dead-end jobs until he finds an outlet for his frustration in rock 'n' roll. Drama, starring David Essex, Ringo Starr, Keith Moon, Billy Fury, Robert Lindsay and Rosemary Leach. Claude Whatham David Essex Ringo Starr Keith Moon Robert Lindsay Rosemary Leach James Booth Billy Fury Rosalind Ayres.

It is. This article from a few years ago talks about Irish music and if there is anywhere for it on TV screens:

Is Kirsty still a MILF or has she now graduated to be a GILF? We demand answers.... :pac:

Watched that with the kids on our movie night last night :)

My DVD was unplayable after 20 mins due to bit rot :( but bittorrent to the rescue - and since I already bought the product, it's legal :pac: stuck it on my router's NAS and the VLC app on the smart TV saw it and played it no bother. We have the clicknology :)

Fingal County Council are certainly not competent to be making decisions about the most important piece of infrastructure on the island. They need to stick to badly designed cycle lanes and deciding on whether Mrs Murphy can have her kitchen extension.
