Just saw this on Youtube explosive disagreement between Rand Paul and the CNN presenter. I found it interesting he talked about what I said here earlier the US intelligence is flawed and bias against Trump and Russia.

I'm not making excuses for Trump nor am I deflecting. That's an unfair accusation to put towards me. I'm making the point that the level of vitriol directed towards him is over the top. He seems to have enraged so many people to the point of hysteria. I've never seen so much anger directed towards any other politician ever and that worries me.

Dont worry about the 'anger' itself: Its fine - we got it under control.

Instead, look at the *cause* of that anger. Thats what you should be concerned about.

Did you run out of nonsense in the CT forum? Rand is off to Russia soon, for some reason. Do you think it could be related to Mariia Butina and Alexandr Torshin and NRA funding? She was arrested on Friday as a Russian spy.

Its not interesting, its simply that you are repeating the same talking points from the same sources ( clapper the liar, brennan the commie, etc) while ignoring the substantive questions being asked.

If you saw the aftermath of a fight between a rapist and the guy who intervened to stop her, you might form such an equivalence.

As an aside, what's with the guy with the family guy picture? It just seems, well, odd.

I know it's CNN and the Trumpists/Putinists/ Conspiracy Theorists will cry fake news but it's mind boggling the lines from the press conference they commented on.

    Some of my favourites.

"But we have lots of sources now and the United States is much different than it was a number of years ago when we weren't unable to extract what we could extract today. So today we're number one in the world at that, and I think we'll be out there competing very strongly."

"One little thing I might add to that is the helping of people. Helping of people. Because you have such horrible -- if you see -- and I've seen reports, I've seen pictures, I've seen just about everything."

In the Skripal thread, he went with all the mutually exclusive Kremlin theories. Make of that what you will.

The reaction to the summit is sheer unadulterated hysteria.

The video of the event is so insane. It's so bonkers that even Trump's usual lackeys in FOX can't defend him.

Coincidentally, there's an uptick here of people wondering why we're even discussing it.

In what way? I've seen this comment a few times already but nobody had the balls to explain it.

    EDIT: Ugh

    Better relations with Russia.

    The horror...the horror...

The Democrats and media have lost their minds.

The fact that you have to ask tells me it is probably not worth explaining...

Emergency meeting with members of congress tomorrow. Will be interesting to see what comes out of it.

The Trumpist concern trolling is in overdrive. It was a quick script change from the earlier scheduled "Winning in Finland".

I actually saw this on CNN earlier and found it interesting that Rand Paul can't say if he believes US intelligence or the Russians. He actually suggests Wolf is asking him the wrong question. From about 7.50 onwards.

So not going to explain it, huh?

I find that if you question certain types of posters, they go running off to the next forum. Are you going to answer my question?

I see it on reddit and the big social media all the time but it's new here.

Yes, I do because the election was between Hilary and Trump.

What evidence have you seen the election was rigged?

Who has said the election was rigged?

If we are to accept that there is unprecedented levels of anger toward Trump, why does that worry you specifically?

Agreed but it's not a bit genuine. Sanctimonious nonsense. Just yet another stick to lash him with in the hope that this will be his undoing. Not a bit of it of course.

Check out the Salisbury thread and the 911 forum. It'll be enlightening.

Tucker Carlson raised this very issue this week about Mueller covering up 9/11. If you have a head in the sand you would not know about this.

Yeah, he's a real "doormat" to Putin.

There is literally nothing he does that you can bring yourselves to condemn, that is no skin off my nose but always be aware I see you and you fool nobody.

You can bleat on all you want but the man makes a fool of you and your kind every time he opens his mouth. He is a failure and he still has plenty of time to make things worse.

Forget Obama, if any American president had just shat all over his own country at a summit and had his staff now desperately attempting to clean up after him they would be accused of letting his country down and not doing his duty.

This could have been a big moment for Trump, but he choked, he bitched out and ended up with egg on his face as he often does. Continue to defend him regardless of what he does, just gets sadder and more pathetic each time.

The myopic way that people are focusing all their energies toward one person keeps attention away from other reasons why politics in the USA is broken.
There seems to be a polar divide opening up that doesn't acknowledge any level of nuance to the situation. You either support a pussy grabbing pervert or a crooked Hillary. The polarisation has made it so you have to deify one while chastising the other. The middle ground is losing.

Nobody is looking at why a system is in place where there are two terrible candidates running for office. Bush and Kerry both supported the wars, Bush and his dad have been Presidents in my lifetime, Clinton had sexual baggage and his wife nearly ended up in charge. It barely counts as a legitimate democracy.

Trump will leave office eventually, but the problems behind what got him to victory will still be ever present.

Look, just because you're blind to the exaggerated reaction of the media to what Trump does, doesn't mean we all have to be. If he does something I disagree with, I'll have no problem condemning him for it.

As for this recent nonsense, sure he has already said that the relationship with Russia has never been worse, and he has also admitted they tried to interfere with the election.

He is trying to repair relations with Russia. What did you want him to do?

Weren't you the guy who was saying Stormy Daniels was done when she got arrested? (and later freed)

And you accuse others of sanctimonious nonsense.

Luckily for Trump, and everyone else in the world, he isn't a porn star and stripper. You may develop some standards for him then.

Have said before I'd like Trump to be impeached, but the absurd over the top hysteria and braindead hot takes not just from the grifters in the resistance was grim. It was a relatively harmless meeting. Interesting and grim to see the push back towards Rand Paul one of the few Republicans who is a genuine non interventionist also while war mongering politicians like John Mc Cain are been lionised by the media.

Check this out for an incredibly **** take.

    https://twitter.com/KyleKulinski/status/1018923857699332096

That's the standard level of hysteria I have seen today.

I don't think you know what sanctimonious means.

I didn't suggest I was morally superior to Stormy Daniels.
