    Hi guys

I have a good diet and work out 45 mins a day

Rarely eat bad save for a bowl of cornflakes in the evening.

    Is this actually bad?

    Cheers

Corn Flakes are not bad for you.

They are additional calories you probably don't need but the nowl of Cornflakes isn't bad for you in and of itself.

And you can't really pick out a single element of your diet and view it in isolation. It should be viewed in the context of your whole day.

If you were putting on weight when you didn't want to, then having a bowl of Cornflakes might be a bad idea. But you would still have to look at the full day and see if you could have made better choices so that you wouldn't feel like eating a bowl of Cornflakes in the evening.

    Breakfast-

    Coffee x 2

    Lunch

    Scrambled Eggs x 3
    Wholewheat Brown Bread x 2
    Banana
    Low Fat Sugar Free Yoghurt

    Dinner

    Chicken fillet/Fish fillet
    Potatoes
    Veg

    Snack

    Popcorn
    Corn Flakes

    Would that be fair game?

    Thanks for your reply :)

What's the snack? I'd be trying to cut that and the cornflakes most nights. Does the coffee have sugar in it?

Their not "bad". However, the portion is probably significantly more than the 30g stated portion on the pack (speaking from experience).

There's probably more nutrition in the Cornflakes cardboard box.

GM is perfectly safe. Even if sugar and salt is pre added it's not important. The daily intake of salt and sugar is whats important.

Not as bad as they once we're - see my post today on Kelloggs Reducing sugar by up to 40%. Cornflakes are now down to 8% sugar.

You can probably add 5-10g sugar from the milk you are putting on your cereal.

But as stated above, it needs to be considered as part of your overall daily intake.

They have relatively little nurtriontal value, so if they made up a large portion of your diet then you'd have an unhealthy diet. But seeing as you are getting in your protein/fat/vitamins in fish and chicken and veg then cornflakes are a perfectly fine snack to eat alongside the rest of your diet
