Tron has history of removing coins from the Tron wallet, I'd be very wary of storing them there.

They've also a history of (mistakenly) gifting free coins too :D

My bank has removed money from my account that was deposited in error too. I guess we should all be way off them too!

I bought 200euros worth when they were at 20cents a TRON, back when I had some Stellers to cash in. What are they now? 4cents a Tron? Best for me to unsubscribe.

Not much point in selling now I'd hold tough for the moment.

Your bank is regulated and overseen by authorities who can prevent bad behaviour. Who's going to stop Tron from doing whatever they want when they want? After the debacle with the free TRX (which I did very nicely out of) I wouldn't put a cent in the Tron wallet.

Have you heard anyone else complain that trx was removed from their account other than those who received trx in error several months back?? I doubt it.

And the removals were done prior to Tron getting their blockchain live, when it was still an ERC20 token. They can't remove anything now (not that they were every going around stealing people's trx to begin with) as each wallet has a private key and can accessed by the owner only.

Yeah delighted must say, have always been consistently buying Tron on the dips, watch out Stellar is right!

I don't know if they can or not, all I do know is that the precedent has been set for removing TRX from what was supposed to be a private secure wallet. That's enough reason for me not to trust it. The fact I and others got free coins in error is actually MORE reason for me not to trust it, even when it's been to my advantage it doesn't fill me with confidence.

It wasn't a secure wallet, you had no private key at the time. If you thought that was a secure wallet you don't know much about crypto.

It's been discussed before, a few boardsies got a couple of thousands trx in error and some of them, who were being greedy, kept transferring in and out of the wallet in an attempt to get more free trx ended up having some of those coins taken back, while others ran off into the night with their I'll gotten gains.

The project has moved on, no longer an ERC20, own blockchain, multiple secure wallets, dapps galore and a very very bright future. But you don't trust them because they made a mistake and have you dinner free coins by mistake and had the audacity to try and take them back.

Out of interest, if they emailed you and said 'we have noticed we made an error in your deposit can you please provide is permission to reclaim the trx or transfer trx to the following wallet' would you have done it?

Tron just overtook Stellar and not far from Litecoin either, within the hour surely, alot of goings on in the Tron camp especially with BitTorrent lately.

The arse really fell out of Stellar too I thought it would level up to XRP which is disappointing...

Aye I agree, Stellar has just been stagnating for a while now, I tend to keep upto date on most and very little updates from that camp to my eyes anyway

has anybdy logged in to their tron wallets lately? I cant even find where to do it.

Signed up ages ago when there was rumoured free coins...cant find that now...

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,480 ✭✭✭Chancer3001

just a word of warning to anybody like myself...

if you put tron in the tron wallet and just left it....tough sh1t, all those coins are gone now forever. Like mine

If you have them in MEW, you can exchange them for new TRX coins with binance.

I'm pretty sure the switch from the old ERC20 Tron wallet to their mainnet was well publicised for months before the change over. The date to withdraw was actually extended from June 2018 to 31st January 2019 due to demand from holders.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,480 ✭✭✭Chancer3001

Publicised on crappy medium and telegraph

    Could have just emailed me

It's poxy I know but medium and telegram are two of the biggest social media platforms going. It was also on Reddit countless times and the Tron Twitter and god knows where else.
