    Is there a how to guide available to learn how to play games like this, werewolf & walrus

    Recently discovered this forum and have been very active on the threads I understood!

    Nice crowd here which apart from the Fantasy Sports Arena forum I have found hard to come by (Soccer & Motors can be a bit unforgiving!)

    Codenames is very easy to play but quiet hard to explain. If you go into the other forum games and watch a game or even better sign up for a game

    Basically theres a board with 25 words on it that everyone gets to see

    there are two captains, these get to see the solution of that board. So each team gets 9 and 8 words each. The captains have to give clues to their team mates to guess their words. Clues can be one word and have a number after it.

    So if I said WOOD 2 and on the board was tree and forest then my teammates would guess those two words. You alternate turns until one team gets all their words. BUT its not that easy to link words and some clues can be hard to get. Theres also a bomb, if your teammates guess that its game over.

    Like I said, hard to explain, easy to play!

    Give it a go


    Werewolf is great, all consuming though and a complete head f**k

    Walrus is easy - the host gives a few categories, you submit a song for each and they listen to them all and rank them, usually completely incorrectly :p

    As a general rule though, dive in and ask anything about anything. I got sucked in last summer and it really is one of the best and friendliest corners of the internet, nevermind just boards. Just don't tell any of these idiots I said that :p
