51pts from my wildcard team, this season isn't going to plan and that's putting it mildly. Would nearly wish this season was over but I'm still determined to try and make up the 90 odd points I'm behind in my main mini league.

You wonder what's the point in all of the planning, when the guy whose leading the league still outscores you, while playing a midfield of Gudmundsson, Atsu, Bakayoko and Dier.
Another guy in the league had Salah captain, with Kdb vice captain, fielded 8 players this week, no dgw players and still outscored me.

Scorpion Sting

47 (-8) results in a rank drop from 41k down to 63k. That was the double gameweek from hell.

Gameweek rank of 3.9 million with the hit taken into account. I'm sliding down the rankings in recent months, some bad decisions with bad luck along the way.

69 with the FH. Grand. Probably achieved about 25 points more than having not done it which may have involved a TC on Kane.

Kept Salah and feel my squad is in pretty good shape overall. Confident of a 2nd half of the season push which is what i usually do

Well, my chips are all intact, which is about the only positive I can say about this GW. 50 (-12), and a third successive red arrow lands me at 390k.

That said, my hit did at least break even, though it wasn't the decent points surplus from the DGW I'd hoped for:

Hazard + DCL + Sane + Christensen + Ward = 17
Son + Aguero + Arny + Ogbanna + Kelly: 29 (- 12) = 17

So – played the Free Hit and relatively HEWT with 66.

Like most weeks, there’s a tinge of frustration as it could/should have been so much more – Morgan missing the clean sheet is especially annoying.

A nice jump in OR from 278K to 187K, and put some more distance at the top of my money league….but can’t help feeling it should have been so much better.

So back to reality with my regular squad – assuming no transfer(s) my GW total this week would have been a whopping 28 points (:eek::eek:) I think:

I brought in Eriksen, Son and Kane for the DGW. I transferred out KdB, Hazard and Lukaku for this, a -4. Yes, I know these are big players to transfer out but I thought KdB was injured and Hazard wasnt on fire so for a dgw it seemed a far short term move. Excluding captain pts, Spurs trio scored 17 (21 -4) versus 22. Quite annoying when you should be expected huge gains from a dgw. Ended up with 54 (-4) and didnt use TC which is a positive. WC soon I think.

48(-4) all out. the hit was Aguero in for Firmino which worked but Eriksen/Arnie in for Pogba/Hazard didnt work. If I had never changed my team I'd have had 62 points with Kane staying on the bench

Dropped a grand total of 24 places this week. Raging I have to look at that red arrow for over a week now :pac:

What a horrible gameweek. Ended up with 61 which is slightly higher than most in my leagues but given the fact I used my triple captain chip on Kane it's fair to say it hasn't payed off. Spurs conceding last night also killed me as a Davies owner.

The HEWT thing annoys me for some reason.. sounds silly.

Anyway, there appears to be a silver lining to my gameweek in that the TC chip I had thought I had played has seemingly been left intact.. must have forgot to save after activating somehow. I can't tell for sure as wildcard is now active but Kane with his paltry 3 points only provied me with 6 with the armband on. I have since shipped Kane out, may he never curse my team again...
