The waiting game.........

I'm finding the current weather most uninspiring and uninviting. The Wellcraft is 99% ready for the water and I'm getting itchy feet. A day or two on some last bits and pieces, then give her a good wash and shine and we're good to go. But the weather conspires against me on both fronts.

Maybe I'm getting older, but I've found the cold getting into my bones lately whenever I've been outside pottering. And everything is cold and damp also.

I've had enough of these short, dark days and long for the warm stretch in the evenings. It's hard to imagine, or even remember the fact that you could come in for dinner at 6.00 and then go back outside for another few hours!

At least we've passed the mid point and we're heading in the right direction. Roll on Spring and Summer.

Just read your post. I'm not nautical but read the bit about being cold pottering around outside.

I use one of these on my motorcycle and they are a godsend. You can buy with a battery so can be used outside or in workshops etc. Mine plugs into the bike

Couldn't drive the winter months without it for any length of time.

Thanks for that. The cold in question is as much a state of mind as it is physical. I imagine it's more about the winter blues. I wrap up good and it's usually just cold hands I feel most, especially when working on an engine or the like.

    Thanks again.
