New Gpu

Looking to get my self a nice xmas present as I think its time to retire the 7970's I have.
looking for some input as the rig its self is getting on a bit
currently have
I5 3570k 16ddr3 and 7970 in crossfire with res at 1440p.
if I was looking to get a 1070 ti would the cpu bottleneck it??. am I better off waiting and upgrading the whole rig?

Pretty sure the general consensus is that the 1070Ti is too close in terms of price but not performance to a 1080 to justify buying it. Spend the little extra and get the 1080
