Cork should be fined for providing a pitch like that to play on. An utter disgrace. I play junior F and would give out stink if we were given a pitch like that to play on.

They've gone from a sh1t stadium with the best pitch in the country to a decent stadium with a sh1t pitch. Laughable if it wasn't so dangerous. At one stage today the ball literally disappeared underground.
No matches should be played there until it's sorted.

It was never the best pitch in the country and in winter/spring it was often a bog

The pitch was unbelievable good in its last few years before the revamp

What are the possibilities now next weekend?

Does scoring difference come into play if teams equal on points?

Is it true that Pàirc Uí Chaoimh has a state of the art dressing room for Cork teams and a crap one for visiting teams?

My understanding is that if two teams finish level on points the head to head decides it but if there's more than two then its points difference. I'm open to correction however.

A lot of counties have a full round of club fixtures penciled in for the w/e of 31 March/1 April, could be a serious headache depending on the finalists.

    FT: Tipp 0-26 Limerick 0-26
    Extra time starting soon.
    Live on TG4.

I only switched it on with 20 minutes of normal time remaining. Some nice scores and decent intensity.

Tipps goal was a bizarre one there.

Good game. Poor goalman will be waking in sweat for a few weeks!

Limerick sort of collapsed after that for the next ten minutes but fair play to them they came back and were still in with a shout at the end.

Noticeable too that Tipp upped the physical stakes, and Limerick found that difficult to counter - often with clumsy tackles gifting Tipp frees. I suppose that's another difference between the two divisions. Limerick only had one decent game against Galway, and then Clare in quarter finals. They will improve being back in 1A.

What a game for the 31st March. Each and every player from both teams that hurled tonight deserve massive credit for serving up a titanic struggle.
Hopefully its a taste of what's to come this summer.
    Long live hurling.:)

Was saying in the pub, 10 or so years ago you wouldnt even bother paying much attention to the league. These days, its closer and closer to c'ship standard. Hurling played today was brilliant. Great pace, intensity, skill. If Limk had a decent forward line, theyd have won that. To their credit tho, theyve some spirit for teh fight. Everytime Tipp looked like pulling away, Limk pegged the back Just couldnt get their nose in front.

This wont be Limerick's year. But keep progressing as has been shown, that year may not be too far off.

Bring on the Summer c'ship, most promising and competitive in a long long time.

Not a fan of the round robin provincial championships due to possible dead rubbers but the early rounds in Munster are shaping up to be really intense games with every team capable of beating each other

Terrible. KK's backs not doing too bad, largely because Tipp's only forwards of note are Forde and McGrath, but they'd be beaten sick only for TJ Reid.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,713 ✭✭✭kksaints

Drab first half. Our forward line needs to improve not enough getting hold of the sliother. Apart from the goal our back line has been solid enough.

Great to see TG4 doing the replays in PIP. Get the feeling it's the wrong way round though. Replay should be the big screen with puckout on the small.

That is a nice little bit of innovation alright

Do we really need to see every single score replayed?
