GW18 transfers

I think of couple of you mentioned it last week about dropping a premium forward in an effort to strength your mid.

With that in mind I'm considering

Morata - Rooney
Groß - Dilva

That would make my top 8 look like

Salah, Hazard, Dilva, Ricky, Albrighton
Kane, Rooney, Austin

Plus it gives me .7 to upgrade a defender.

Likely Dann out for Jones.

The news about Bailly being out for a while, and Jones hoovering up BPS yet again on first day back, has persuaded me.

I could afford Smalling, who seems a bit safer fitness-wise, but the bonus potential of Jones, plus the fact that he does seem first choice when fit persuades me. If he can even play 3 out of 4 and suffers just some minimal rotation I think that;s good enough for me.

United defence an absolute must-have. The alternate option is Courtois out for DDG, but that would leave me without Chelsea coverage, and I wouldn't be able to afford Christensen. Also uses up a lot of transfers.

So likely will keep my fingers crossed on Jones staying fit

You're probably better off without Chelsea defensive coverage.

Selling DDG for Courtois has cost me around 16 points over 3 gws

So it's looking like Moreno & Kiko F. out for Mariappa & Ogbonna....phhhhhwwwwwwwwoooooooooaaaaaaaaaar :pac:

I would really love to have some clarity on Kiko before I do anything but sounds like he may be both injured and potentially disciplined for his antics on Tuesday

I may get someone in for Hennessey. But I'm tired of chopping and changing the front 8. as soon as I get rid of Sanhe'll score well again. Silva went 6GWs doing nothing for instance.

Vardy is a pain, but Leicester are scoring, and I've got to think he'll get something. plus he's rotation proof. He can be revisited in January.

I'm the same with Alonso. Could switch him and Young to Masuaku/Kenny and Silva, but fear those Chelsea fixtures.

Might do it after this weekend anyway. My squad would be stronger overall for the xmas fixture soup.

I downgraded to DCL up top. So have 5m itb.

Thinking Ward,TPT to Bellerin,Mahrez or can do Hazard,Long.

I would love to have hazard along with salah and dilva but worry long won't play for Burnley even at Brighton this game week!

5pts and 6pts are not blanks an average of 5.5 pts per week would have him as the 4th top midfielder over the 17GW's.

Zeegalaar and Sane to Jones and Silva done for a hit. Ward and Mee will have to wait although hopefully the latter is fit at the weekend. Hazard also on thin ice (ironically)

Brought in Jones and Long for Francis and Femina (joint worst signings ever).

Hoping Jones stays fit for a little while again now and will have him and DDG as Man Utd defensive double up. Long an enabler who I'm hoping to upgrade to Holgate after gaining a few more 0.1s after swapping my 4.4s to 4.3s.

Big story from my team is I'm sticking with Sane for another while - proven goals and assists over last 2 seasons so hisbad run should come to an end soon - swapping to Dilva/Sterling and getting burned would be too painful but Pogba will be a lure when he gets back.

You could just call him Dave. Tis supposedly what he was called at Chelsea when he first arrived cos his name was too difficult to pronounce. Though then you run the risk of confusing him with DDG. :pac:

I know Kenny is probably nailed til Coleman comes back but what about the West Ham lads. Are they first choice?

Ogbonna played full 90 for last 8 games, Masuaku played full 90 of the last 5.

Ogbonna will be safe till Fonte comes back, I assume Masuaku is safe till his form suffers

Thanks for that. Did some digging on a West Ham fan forum (the depths this game takes you to! ). Apparently Ogbonna's been linked with AC Milan recently, but he's still regarded by some as their best CB. Think I might go that route. Plus as you said their fixtures are good for the next while.

From a West Ham point of view ogbonnas form has picked up massively since moyes arrived Reid is and will be the number 1 centre back but is suspended this week Collins and fonte are due back soon so short term he should be ok and masuaku could also suffer if moyes wants to stick with 3cbs cresswells form has also picked up and with Carroll and Hernandez back fit now he may be pushed out by arnie or Antonio

Did silva to sane a month ago so might reverse it. Only 1 free transfer so might move yoshida out. Might go for a cheaper option.

tempted to ditch Kane and go with a 3-5-2 formation playing 5 premium midfielders (Silva, Sterling, Mahrez, Salah, Harzard) with Aguero and Rooney (Okazaki) up top. Kane form is very hot and cold, fixtures not great and he's got a blank coming up. May get him back for the DGW. Will leave me with 1.2m in the bank to sort out anything that happens this GW.

I droped Kane for Rooney,I have Lukaku and Jesus and beefed up midfield with Mahrez.Kane is really expensive and with the blank coming up I think we can justify droping him for a few weeks at least.Bold move by us tho:cool:

I was thinking of doing similar but those next four games are being played over twelve or thirteen days. Given the fact Lukaku has started every league game this season and is one of the only players who hasn't received a rest thus far I'd imagine he's due a spot on the bench during this next run. I'm guessing Zlatan will start one of those four games and big Rom will get a rest.

That's a good point. Lukaku is a bit of a monster (can't remember when he last got injured? Seemed to play every game for Everton), but I wouldn't be surprised if he misses one. If I was betting I'd say he plays all 4 but with his form and ibra in backup I dunno.
