He'll ask his new buddy Khabib to beat up Woodley for him

If you think Khabib can beat Woodley, you're crazy.

No... Khabib was the one at the airport and wasn't recoginzed. So the idea he's suddently a superstar after beating mcgregor isn't looking too good.

Outside of conor I can't think of any fighter Khabib could fight that would generate even 25/30% of the weekend's ppv's

A super fight with Woodley would bomb...

How many casuals will pay for Khabib Tony?

Outside of Tony there'll be even less interest in Khabib as there doesn't appear to be anyone else, maybe Kevin Lee but they'll have a job selling that one

I'd love if poirier called conor out when he beats Diaz, good fight for conor, nice payday for Dustin ;)

    Watch this space 😀

If Diaz was to beat Dustin and fight Khabib for the title it would draw well.

Tony deserves the next shot and i do think himself vs Khabib would draw better than expected.

    They all want that payday.

Can't see anyone calling out Khabib? Apart from crazy Tony. Love Tony.

Well Kevin Lee has been calling Khabib out . - don't think Lee is ready for Khabib.

Al or Eddie would be good fights up for Lee.

Kevin Lee has the best chance out of anyone in the top 5 of beating Khabib. He's the only one with good enough defensive wrestling to stall the takedowns and frustrate Khabib. He also has very good hands and he's as strong as an ox.

I think Ortega would have Khabibs number

Russia... an easy scapegoat for all the other countries to point at and blame.

Because they orchestrated a massive state sponsored doping program.
Not that hard to point at them when they are bottom of the barrel sports cheats.

If Kevin Lee is smart - he'll let Khabib go through some more wear and tear before he puts his young ass in a cage with him.

I'd need to see more from Lee - against Dustin or Diaz or Eddie. Get his weight cutting down to a science also.

Don't think you realise how small Ortega is. He's built like a 5'8 version of nate diaz. He'd get absolutely destroyed. You'd have to be thickly built to beat khabib, big arms and legs. Kevin lee probably has the best chance but he did get ko'd before and that chicken dance against barboza.... I don't think he'd make it past the first ground n pound onslaught of khabib if that was to happen.

Ortega needed a hail mary knee to beat Clay Guida barely 2 years ago with 20 seconds left on the clock. Would get squashed by Khabib me thinks.

In fairness, he might be a needle mover now.

Beating McGregor will have brought him more fans worldwide.

His style doesn't lend to very exciting fights but Russian fans might buy more ppv in future than they have before.

After all, Ireland only 6 million, Russia 150 million. :p

A pass on factor doesn't always work mind. Its no exact science.

Nunes didn't get any traction from headlinging and winning two 1m + PPV cards. It depends on casual appeal really and will his style or demeanour get them excited - I doubt.

I'd imagine Khabib will be in a kinda middleground between the 200k Woodley/TJ cards and Jon Jones 700-900k sellers.

but maybe he does become a proper star.

I think Ortega or Ferguson would be interesting as they'd be actively working from their backs and attacking, rather than everyone else who goes into full defensive mode when Khabib goes full smesh.

Lee or Gaethje could be interesting with their wresting bases, and seeing Khabib on his back would be something different.

Ferguson actually has a really good wrestling background as well which many seem to forget.

    I think we get.....

    Khabib Tony

    McGregor Diaz

    Poirer Lee

But, wait, Russia was kicked out of the Olympics for organised doping...
But, Khabib is a clean-living man! A devout Saint! The media says so!
What has doping got to do with muslims not drinking alcohol?

Hhhhmmmm, wonder how much truth there is to this...........

There have also been rumblings that Khabib Nurmagomedov’s teammate Islam makhachev was seen allegedly making finger guns at Conor McGregor hours before the fight. A yet unidentified individual was later allegedly arrested for having a firearm within the arena. The incident is rumored to have nearly caused the entire UFC 229 event to be cancelled due to safety concerns.

That would make the whole 'it's only business' (if that's what he actually said) make much more sense.

Not really that could be in reference to anything

There could be some truth to it seeing as mcgregors post fight interview and after party were also cancelled due to safety concerns. I doubt he'd do that for just for the threat of some fists, there was probably a bigger threat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVTyixkdLL8

Ortega saw Danis out clubbing on his own, said there were a few russians around so asked a friend to watch out for him, called him a savage for not caring about being out on his own. DD = GOAT.

Anyone else see the dana interview on tmz, he said over the bus thing McGregor is banned from fighting in the state of New York. Is that true?

I'd say NYSAC have basically told him Conor won't get a license for a while.

He's too big now to fight anywhere but Vegas so I never thought booking him in MSG was a possibility but didnt know he couldn't get a licence.
