PUBG on Xbox [preview program]

Its just the game atm, theyre aware of it and trying to fix it.

I've only ever had the network lag message for one day when I connected my Xbox via WiFi. Never had it on wired connection.

First time I had played the xbox version last night since christmas I'd say. They've done a great job of optimisation compared to how it was. I was only on an S too, you'd have to think they will be able to squeeze 60fps out of the X eventually.

I am really convinced that there is an issue with the game recognising being hit. I went in to a house to loot. Just go upstairs and hear the door downstairs open so I hide in a room and wait for the guy to come upstairs, he opens the door of the room I am in and runs in. I am not even 2 metres away and fire with s12k, he is literally directly in front of me and it seemed to miss. Granted the second shot lands and kills him, but it still really annoyed me.

If its the start of game itll be an absolute lottery on whether you hit them or not.

Tried to play a few games tonight but the lag was horrendous, internet connection is fine, 100/40 and working for everything else. Most times it went straight from matchmaking to the jump without seeing the lobby. I could rarely see any other chutes so died in one game where I thought I was completely alone but at least 2 others jumped into the same compound. Noticed that the lobby jumps around different locations now, presume that was part of the last update.

So PUBG is on the Play Store for free, I gave it a go on my mobile and it played very well, almost better than the console, I even got 7 kills in my first game and came 14th.

Performance / Optimization / Stability
Implemented texture changes to improve graphical performance
Optimized vehicle profiles to improve framerate
Additional fixes to reduce crashes

UI/UX (Inventory)
The layout of the inventory has been improved, adding focal points to identify selected areas, a clearer button guide and tooltips
Improved selection of weapon slots and attachments - players can change the focus and selection by using the D-Pad
Quick scrolling has been added by using LT/RT buttons

Gameplay
A counter has been added to show the number of players remaining on the airplane

Cosmetic Items
Reminder to the community that the Varsity Jacket (also known as the PUBG5 jacket) announced last week will be rewarded to players after March 22nd 12:01AM. Look for it in your in-game inventory from March 22nd, inside the customization tab of the menu.

Bug Fixes
Fixed issue that caused players to hear footsteps when no other players were in the vicinity
Fixed an issue that prevented the blue zone from being displayed correctly

I just found it on the forums just as you posted.. cheers

So the counter isn’t actually a numbered counter it’s a little plane with a seating plan and the seats change colour when a player ejects.. it’s a nice little addition

On the mobile game its an actual number so it kinda helps to know where everyone is getting off

Oh you can definitely see where people are getting off, very visible, goes from yellow to grey, actually think I’d prefer it to a number

Found the going much easier with some of the audio patches etc last week. Managed a couple of chicken dinners and got 14 kills in a game last night.

still no chicken dinner for me, just always seem to get picked off from nowhere in the last 10-15! looking forward to getting the killcam update

I’m in the same boat, I always seem to get into the top 5/10 and then when push comes to shove I just can’t finish it off.. though I just played one game on the mobile and straight to 3rd with 11 kills so might have a better chance there

The mobile version is against AI bots for the first few matches :P

Played a few games last night, more aggressively than usual, Definitely found a noticeable improvement in the frame rate for cqc, dropped in georgopol and school a few times and had no mad stuttering instances like usually occurs when you land in one of those immediate combat spots. Inventory looks much cleaner now also, on the whole, seems like a good patch so far.

The smart phone port of PUBG is so hard, everyone is terrible at it haha. I got 13 kills or something in my only game as people have such trouble aiming. If you just zig zag with a shotgun they cant stop you.

I always find it's nearly impossible to win without having a 4x scope of higher in the last ten, or at least one of your team having one. Even if you don't use the gun you need it to see people hidden or prone behind trees and bushes, I don't think I've won a game without one yet.

I think day one there were more bots as articles talk about everyone wearing the same thing. While i probably encountered a few bots, there were definitely far more players.

I did wonder why I was the only one running around naked in the game
