    Mine didn’t either

  • Registered Users Posts: 22 Rita57

Mine just said they had 2 groups one which was going to next stage and the second group was made up of a reserve panel. If they call more people to interview the reserve panel will be called upon. I am on reserve panel.

Hi, does anyone have a link to the information booklet for this role?

Have people done interviews? How did they go?

  • Registered Users Posts: 53 ✭✭AJMG

Did mine last Monday. Pretty tough going. Emphasis on specialist skills and knowledge I felt. Difficult to gauge how it went!

What kind of oom did you get after the first stage? Tryna gauge how many they called for interview

  • Registered Users Posts: 53 ✭✭AJMG

I didn’t get any OOM of any kind after stage 1. I just got a mail saying I had made it to next stage and then got another mail with details of interview details

That's odd I got an oom and I seen others say they didn't

  • Registered Users Posts: 24 Bug23

@skidmarkoner have you been called for interview after receiving a stage 1 oom?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7 sazieb

Anyone who did interview recently have any idea when we will hear back?

Unfortunately no word of any kind yet. Be great to get some communication before Christmas

  • Registered Users Posts: 7 RuzenaStone

I was told that the competition results were expected before Christmas, but I haven't received any updates yet. It seems like we might have to wait until the new year. Has anyone asked for feedback on their interview?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7 sazieb

    They are out now

  • Registered Users Posts: 53 ✭✭AJMG

Hope everyone is happy with the results👌

It’s always hard to know whether you should be happy or not with an OOM! All depends on the number of vacancies.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7 RuzenaStone

Any idea how many vacancies last time? Or in general? From what I heard OGP are crying out for staff but no idea of numbers.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7 sazieb

Would love to know this too

  • Registered Users Posts: 53 ✭✭AJMG

I’ve been told there are loads of vacancies. Apparently a lot of people on boards waiting to be promoted due to lack of staff.

Has anyone been offered a position yet?

  • Registered Users Posts: 53 ✭✭AJMG

No word yet, I’m OOM #1 for one of my locations too so I’m guessing no offers have been made

    Well done!

Probably wishful thinking on my part that offers would be made this soon 😁

I’m either side of #10 for both my locations. I don’t know where I lie with that. Any updates are appreciated.

They are....believe me...hard at EO and HEO to get good people.

OOM IS order of Merit. All successful applicants are normally given a number stating where where they are on the list

hi there, i am new to this forum but would appreciate any advice please, i was successful on the panel for OGP, OOM 8 in Cork and I queried with the allocations panel today and they advised I was not on the batch of allocations so far.. any way of knowing that there will be more allocations. I expected there would be a number of posts but looks like I just missed it !!

Hi Mich, I'm OOM 9 in Cork and made a similar enquiry to you yesterday. I was told the OGP hadn't submitted a requirement sufficient to reach my place on the panel. No time lines could be given. I have to await another submission and offers will be made based on this. Unfortunately that may be in months or even exceed the length of the panels time. It was disappointing to hear as I was hopeful that being placed under 10 would have been positive for an offer.

Thanks Riverside, yes it is disappointing after such a lengthy process, I did ask about the panel expiry date and I was advised that this was at the discretion of the Public Appointment service and would usually be for 18-24 months unless it details this on the booklet so I guess we can wait and see. I gather it is a small unit in Cork so there may not be many posts, just very hard to know!
