Injured my wrist using EZ bar

    I was using a straight bar for curls for about a year now and was happy with it, a few weeks a ago I moved to an EZ bar because of the more natural hand positions. I injured my left wrist using this bar and now I cannot lift anything until I recover. The first time I used the EZ I felt unusual strain but I was thinking it was just stimulating the muscle differently. My question is should I have moved to an EZ bar after using a straight one for a year now? My wrists are not use to the new position resulting in strain? I am using the same amount of cast iron weights on each end totaling 33.5kg.

    If it isn't comfortable, don't do it. If the straight bar was working and there was no strain, stay with it.

    Drop the weight a bit and see what happens...with an EZ bar you can also move your hands inwards a bit when curling which takes the strain off the inside of the wrist.

    I injured my wrist a while a go, strain and inflammation, rest, I also got wrist wraps that I use now for any pressing.
