    Hi
I have a server 2008 with a c drive of 40GB that is now full. D drive has lots of empty space on it. Is it possible to shrink the D drive by x number of GB and increase the size of the C drive accordingly using Disk Management in the computer management console. Server is running raid 1.
Or is it best to purchase 3rd party software to do this?
    Thanks in advance

You can do it, but not inside of 2008.

    1. Make a backup just in case you mess up
    2. Boot up Partition Magic or similar (Free)
    3. Shrink D:
    4. Expan C:
    5. Restart
