Nokia 6?

Looking closely at this one as due a change in the next few weeks
Anyone got it and whats it like so far? Pros and cons?

Picked one of these up sim free in Carphone Warehouse in Belfast this week for £200. Was a toss between this and the G5s. Would of liking a Samsung A5 2017 but there still going for mad money for a 12 month old "cheaper" phone.

Performs well but still early days, initially though:

Battery seems a bit on the slow side to charge.

Screen and body are great in terms of quality. It doesn't feel like a 200 quid phone in your hand at all.

Flat edges don't make it the most comfortable to hold after a while, really reminds me of the HTC M7. A cover will rectify this I hope.

Android system is basic which is a good thing IMO.

Haven't done much with the camera yet.

Speaker sound isn't bad, certainly better the my A3 2016 but not as good as the M7.

Fingerprint sensor isn't bad

Kind of annoying that the dial keypad sound is tied in with the ringer volume.

Not in Ireland yet anyway. Can get it in the north in car phone warehouse

Had a chat with a 3 store guy, they expect it within a couple of weeks. Exclusively, by the sounds of it.

Not available on Nokia website either. I'm not with 3 so that's no good to me.

Nah, the 3GB/32 version is the one listed on CarphoneWarehouse UK, but there's a 4GB/64 version to. Wondering which to expect.

wouldn't put it past 3 but it would be pretty hypocritical given this proclamation on the UK site: www.three.co.uk/hub/what-is-an-unlocked-phone/

Thanks. I don't think it is true for 3 Ireland.
I was in a chat with customer service and they confirmed all their phone are locked and to unlock it would cost 130 euro.

Is the a risk of paying additional custom charges?

Checked on internet and it looks like no taxes are usually charged

No customs are paid by them in Uk when they arrive from China so no customs from UK to anywhere in EU.

That Eglobal phone will work fine in Ireland. It has all the required bands to run 2G, 3G and 4G just fine!

What's craic with warranty cover ? It's obviously a bit 'grey market'...although website says mobiles have a 12 month warranty. I think I'll take a the plunge. Protected under EU Distance Selling regulations anyway.

Got mine yesterday. Very solid in the hand. Great screen, slick scrolling etc. No notification LED, looks more silver/grey than white tbh. Red edge not really visible - only when light catches it in a certain way. Happy out, especially at €197
