Can anyone help me here, kids messed with dials in hotpress and now heating not working.
There are 3 valves in hotpress with white dials on top and numbers 1, 2 and 3. These are what kids played with.
There are brass dials on front - not touched.

The timer switches for all 3 zones are switched to on,
The thermostats on wall for upstairs and downstairs are on

But when boiler is switched on it lights and runs, lights on wall thermostats are on but radiators are not coming on and something is making noise in the hotpress.

    What way should dials be?

The settings on these is dependant on required flow rates. Most experienced plumbers have a good idea what to set each one at by having a look at the overall system. More pedantic ones will do the math.

Best I can do for you is advise you to start with them at 1 and see how you get on after several hours, then (if needed) ONE AT A TIME move to number 2 for several hours, etc.

If you have a regular plumber that you’ve used, he would do this in less than an hour.

Please follow site and charter rules. "Resistance is futile"
