    Evening all.
I was of two minds whether to go for a few pints. There's no doubt about it now.

Ray will go live to the home of Republic of Ireland soccer legend Niall Quinn to get his reaction to Ireland’s crucial World Cup play-off against Denmark…

Former Irish rugby international Donncha O’Callaghan will join Ray live in studio to chat about everything from Frozen to Ireland’s Fittest Family…

Broadcaster and author Dr Pixie Mc Kenna reveals the catastrophic health concerns that can arise from not getting enough sleep…

…women’s harassment are grabbing the headlines worldwide, prompting a much-needed end to the culture of silence. In light of such recent headlines much-loved broadcaster Bibi Baskin will be joining Ray to talk about her own experiences of working as a woman in media and the many issues facing women today.

Chef Neven Maguire will get viewers taste buds tingling by cooking up some decedent truffles and he’ll also reveal what was on the menu when Leo Varadkar joined him for dinner at his restaurant in Co Cavan.

The Ray D’Arcy Show, tomorrow night, RTE One at 10.10pm

Bibi Baskin, never heard of her since the last time she was on with Ray,or was it the Late Late. She was a bit famous about thirty years ago, someone who rang the Gerry Ryan show wanted to be buried in her back then, but she vanished to India or somewhere.

This sounds like the sort of show they torture people with in Gitmo.

In hindsight, probably not the best idea to broadcast live from a pub on a Saturday night.

There's plenty of people out there I might take advice from around "changing my life"- but Bibi is certainly not one of them!

    She's soused :D

    y

Especially with that the thing they were debating in the Dail (Bar) recently, it turns out that a can of Guinness is now cheaper afaik at €1.68 :D

Not sure about that line-up, Darragh.

    Needs more Wes Hoolahan.

Nothing else on the train, but beer, that's no nutrition :D

Nothing I hate more than a returned emigrant complaining about how things are better everywhere else.

Nearly everyone who does to green room gets soused unless they’re non-drinkers. It’s like going into one of those airport lounges, only with a big selection of alcohol and without anybody looking at you.

Nothing the Irish love more than to be lectured to, by somebody who has barely been in the country.

This laptop's getting hot, better take it off my lap.

    Bring back Bibi !

She's painting a totally depressing outlook on life in Ireland so she can sell her "feel good" sessions and is still trying to get back into broadcasting- go away BIBI, you are just so boring and out of touch with Irish life and don't tell me what's wrong with Irish life.

Fcking job interview she's doing here and doing the same thing she did on TLLS last year.

This interview was paid for by the Bibi wants a handy well paid job in RTE Radio Campaign.

    Bibi approves this message.

Awful interview. Could have asked good questions about ageism in the workplace. Avoid as usual!

It's such an RTE set-up. She'll be on TV/Radio soon again I've no doubt- I hope it's Saturday Night TV so I can slate her thoroughly.

I've been trying to find the clip when Ray was on Brendan O'Connor's Saturday Night Show talking about his return to RTE, but couldn't find it.
If we knew then what we knew now :D
Is the torch being passed to Bibi? :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,761 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

Francis Brennan took people to India
    Sue Perkins went to India.

A general lack of sanitation was very off putting.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,133 ✭✭✭Patty O Furniture

Her first RTE Gig, is in India with Francis "I'm Free" Brennan

Brennan & Baskin, sounds like a country duet :P

A matter of time - at which point I will personally organise a Boards.ie TV forum protest outside RTE studios and will pay for our 4 course meal with wine for all in Trocadero Restaurant after.

"I'm very happy where I am"

    Pants on fire, Ray.

The Christmas adverts are rubbish this year.

They need to put Wes Hoolahan in them, it's obvious.
