    Duffy Yoshida Ward

    Richarlison Salah Sane Zaha

    Kane (C) Jesus Vardy

    Subs: Speroni Moreno Daniels Surman

Doesn't feel right taking a hit the week after wildcarding but no point being stubborn for the sake of it.

Not 100% set on defence....I guess you could make arguments for all of them starting

Just thinking pep might change tactics and go with 2 up top and a back 3 for this game. Has he played danilo in a back 3 the odd time.

Yoshida seems dropped, Bavies a rotation risk and the City lads always a lotto so I’m glad I’ve a full bench to call on.

Under microscopic inspection that seems to be on Jesus over Aguero :pac::pac:

Edit and then I just realised it means Jesus is the one likely to be benched :(

    Lowe Jones Naughton
    Salah Sterling Richarlison Groß
    Aguero (C) Kane (vc) Jesus

    Fab TPT Gomez Ward

I was surprised to see that Kane has totally run away with the captaincy poll. Which made me doubt my gut feeling. Still not sure what to do.

I'd start Daniel's ahead of Mbemba. Mbemba hasn't even made recent match day squads if I'm correct.

Well based on that tweet about Aguero getting a guard of honour, does this mean he is 100% guaranteed to start? Debating taking Jesus out for Vardy now, haven't made any transfers yet so would be for a free

It's hard to say. I think he'll start both. Pep likes Jesus for his mobility and work rate. Sanè could be the one to miss out - which would be classic Pep since he's the one most have transferred in... Let's just wait and see

    Elliott
    Bavies, Ward, Otamendi
    Salah, Silva, GroB, Doucouré
    Kane, Aguero, Abraham

    Fab, Monreal, Choupo, Mariappa

Am I mad putting Monreal on the bench? My thinking behind it is that he'll come on if Bavies doesn't play. Likewise, I could swap Monreal and Ward, with Ward becoming my first sub in the even Bavies doesn't play.

    Hart,
    Fernandes,Kouyate,Reid,Ogbonna, Cresswell
    Noble, Obiang, Lanzini
    Ayew, Hernandez

There was a moment of mild panic when I speed-read that and couldn't find the name "Gomez"!

    Wildcard team is:

    Ederson
    Bavies Gomez Jones
Groß Sané (C) Salah (VC) Eriksen
    Abraham Lukaku Morata

    Elliott Luiz Manquillo RLC

I just benched Luiz for Groß, purely on form - hopefully that won't be coming back to bite me in the ass.

    Good luck all.

What would the attacking set up be then ?

Sane being dropped would be a lovely stroke of luck, keep losing on the Pep rotation wheel!

Other than Aguero in GW6, and Sane last week on the Free Hit, I haven't had any additional goals, assists or clean sheets all season, despite owning 6 different City players... Pep really is the single biggest contributor to my 1m+ ranking

    Good point actually.

Can't see him dropping KDB, Silva or Fernandinho. Unless he puts Sané at wingback and drops Sterling.

    Ederson
    Stones Otamendi Danilo
    Walker Silva Fernandinho KDB Sané
    Jesus Aguero

It's that or I think he drops Sané (despite POKERING's expert City guidance), and continues with the formation he's been using, putting Jesus on the left.

    Elliot

    Jones, Walker, Naughton

    Salah (VC), Sterling, Ritchie, Zaha

    Jesus, Vardy, Kane (C)

    Krul, RLC, Kolasinac, Hunemeier

VERY difficult not to swap out Kola & Jesus > Aguero & Daniels due to the Pep rotation. Jesus started in the home game vs Liverpool in a big game and was rested during the week is my consensus for not taking the hit. Hopefully he starts and nicks more points than Aguero :D

    GL all

I think you need to just pick one or two City players and stick with them. Some weeks you win, some you lose, but at the moment you appear to be chopping and changing each week trying to second guess Pep.

That’s a recipe for disaster tbh.

Yep, said the same in another thread. I'm done chopping and changing, have Sterling and Jesus and that's it for now. If anything, I'll be dumping Jesus for Vardy and bringing Sane in to double up on City MF, this seems to be where the points are coming from. Might even go with walker long term as my third City player.

I'm against having a £10m+ striker alongside Kane as I won't be captaining them, so will likely go without Aguero, Lukaku or Morata for now. This season has proven the need for a strong bench player when you fill up with City attackers

Good luck to everyone on the Pep rollercoaster today! Jesus and Sterling ftw

A few tough choices on who to start but went with bookies odds for defense combined with possible attacking returns.

    Fabianski
    Azpilicueta - Jones - Gomez - VVD
    Silva - Sterling - Richarlison - Salah
    Jesus - Kane (c)
    SUBS: Elliot, Ward, RLC, Hemed

    Start Kolasinac or Naughton?
Kola for me. I expect neither to keep a CS, but Kola's attacking potential is way higher.

    1/1 FT. Lac to Kane.

    Elliot.
    Kiko, Morgan, Mee.

    Kane(c), Vardy (v), Lukaku.

    Foster, TPT, Francis, Suttner.

    Stuck with Aguero (c).

    Shítting it already.

Vardy and Choupo in this early KO.

I brought Gomez in but benched him in favour of Naughton. I may come to regret it given it's West Ham, but I'm sticking with the advice in treating him as any other £4.5m defender and using him only in home games where possible.

Cedric makes his last appearance before making way ahead of Southampton's horrible run.

    Elliot
    Jones Cedric Naughton
    Salah Sterling Richarilson Zaha
    Kane (C) Aguero Morata
