    So that's:

    Weston Airport - 29 October 2017
    SSE Belfast - 30 October 2017
    Malahide Castle - 15 June 2018
    Belsonic Belfast - 16 June 2018

Totally forgot about the belfast dates as well, fair play to him if they sell

He sold Finsbury Park out in a few minutes. Cannot believe the success he is having, I thought he would be playing the Academy after he released a solo album. Fair play to him

And the Olympia was only in June gone too

Great show tonight. His band are very tight, the Oasis songs sound class and his new stuff is going down very well. For what it's worth and paper crown big highlights tonight. Morning glory was amazing though

Sounds like noel in that last video!

What's the capacity at Malahide and likelihood of this selling quick? Hoping to be at a World Cup for this so won't be buying a ticket until after Ireland v Denmark.

The baffling thing is that his sets are only around 65 minutes long .

Any longer and his voice will go I'd say.

Yeah, I would expect him to get it up to at least and hour and 30 minutes when he is doing his tour. Festival sets are usually shorter

tickets should be 56.14 if buying online.

    listed as €49.90 exluding fees.

Bit longer setlist tonight, shaking it up a bit...one of the few complaints I always had with Oasis setlist was the lack of change
    Rock N Roll Star
    Morning Glory
    Greedy Soul
    Wall Of Glass
    For What It's Worth
    Bold
    Paper Crown
    Some Might Say
    Slide Away
    I'm Outta Time
    Come Back to Me
    You Better Run
    Cigarettes & Alcohol
    Be Here Now
    Supersonic
    I've All I Need
    Live Forever

Yup, Belfast proved that anyway, so all looking good for at least a 1.30 set in Dublin next year.

Badly, it has to be said. Doesn't have that kind of range anymore.

He'll surely drop the key for the next outing. Was surprised he did it in the original key. That has to be the highest he's sung on any recording

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,323 ✭✭✭Savman

The original is pure magic, his best vocal IMHO.

Got my ticket this morning at 9. Was listening to Rockin Chair as I was reading through the thread. :D

Will be my first time seeing Liam live. Massive Oasis fan and really like Liam's new album. Roll on June!

He's on fire at the minute, and the Malahide gig will be his first after an almost 2 month break so he should sound great like he did in the Olympia and Weston!

weston and now malahide - some of the worst venues you could get

that against the Olympia - one of the best

That Olympia gig was seriously special on top of that. I dont think anyone thought he'd have been that good.

what is malahide like as a gig venue?
Easy enough access to toilets/ bar?
    Good sound?

Faaack id love to hear it but not if he butchers it. One of my favourite Oasis tunes.

I see he had to pull out of a show on BBC one tonight as he was told to rest his voice. Wonder was it Rockin Chair last night that did it.

I saw him on Monday night in Belfast, really good gig. I forgot how powerful his voice is. I didn't notice how well he was singing until I watched a few of the videos I recorded.

are you sure about this? have you been to many other malahide gigs?

I would have previously guessed you were correct, but I seem to recall some other malahide gig thread recently and I think someone advised it might be better to find accommodation around malahide.

Might be totally wrong about that. The person might have wanted to drive to & from the venue.

Maybe I am wrong, I have not been to a gig in Malahide village , but the train station is about 15 minute walk to the castle and the grounds. Are the gigs further away than that ? Curious to know myself now as I intend getting the train or dart and walking to the venue and back.

Thanks for the replies, want to have a few drinks and stay over night in city centre.

Hello, I’ll be travelling by car to Dublin for the concert so I’m wondering will there be any car park spaces available for the gig. Trying to avoid coming into the inner city if possible. Thanks!

Parking in Malahide is a nightmare at the best of times. Not sure what it's like at the venue itself but traffic will be a pain and I'd rather walk than drive but then again I'm only about three miles down the road

Try park somewhere along the malahide road or dart station and get 42 or dart up to it. Alot easier. Plenty of housing estates

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 628 ✭✭✭mikekerry

    Think it's 20,000 capacity

Could see a lot of tickets being bought at short notice for this if the weather is looking nice

more like tickets are not currently on sale. I would keep checking if I was you.

As they are all the same ticket, i.e. standing there is less need for ticketmaster to be up to their old tricks of tricking people into buying poorly selling sections. However it is still likely some will go on sale again, promotors might set some aside for people who do not take them in the end.

Also as ticketmaster own seatwave it is in their interest to make it seem sold out so they get their ridiculous cut of the seatwave sales.
