I'm getting really sick of the eir coverage, its non existent. Calls dropped constantly, H+ or no coverage at all.

As a result notifications don't get delivered, 3G doesn't work, and I'll be damned if I have a whiff of 4G - doesn't exist either.

Had a comical chat with éir tech support. Apparently if your phone works in your house there's no case to answer. So there you go if you leave your house or "travelling" as they call it you're not guaranteed mobile service . I did put it to them that it's a "mobile " phone.

Asked about ending the contract and they mentioned the dreaded debt collector.

So if you live outside Dublin and drive éir may not be for you
If you live in Dublin it may not be for you either. No coverage at all around Templeogue Bridge area. Zero.

Comreg are bringing out an app by the end of the year. This may do for now.

All 3 major carriers covered here. Look at Eirs coverage in and around Templeogue, Rathfarnham, Terenure, Milltown, Knocklyon etc. 4 miles from the city.

If you ring éir they will ask you have you reception in your house and if you answer yes they will politely tell you to f* off, as you can see from Thomás answer above they don't recommend you actually move with your phone as they can't guarantee service, I did mention to the support team that it is a "mobile" phone which were designed to move and not a land line that are stationary.

Cancel the contract and just block their direct debits.

Theyre not going to send one out to collect 40 quid.

Tbh if I could get out of my eir contract for 300€ I would pay it. Actually had a customer care person from eir ring me to see how I was getting on. She suggested connecting to WiFi in work as the coverage in Blanchardstown is not great. She lives there and has the same problem.

A connection viable to make or receive a class, send or receive a text and to use mobile data.

    Thanks

    Thomas

If I could get this I’d be happy. Where do I sign up for this service!!

:) that was pure sarcasm. If you've seem my posts in the thread I am unfortunately already an eir sufferer. What you described is exactly what most customers want. Unfortunately it is not the my experience using the Eir network.

All that is, is a threat. They never do it.

I was about to switch to Eir from Vodafone as its getting more expensive and getting less for your money. but from this it seems that eir is **** and a waste of money. What is the point in PMing that guy details when everyone has clearly said that they get absolutely no where with the online help etc.

I had absolutely no Eir Mobile reception all day yesterday in Adare, Co. Limerick. Today I'm luck to be getting 260 Kbps download speed on supposed 3G mobile in Inverin, Co. Galway. Shocking and beyond frustrating.
