Have a new Ford Kuga with the SYNC 3 Sat NAV installed. Does anyone know if you can use eircode to find an addresses, Works ok on Google Maps with Android Auto just curious as cant see anyway to enter a eircode on the Ford SYNC system. In fact do any car sat navs work with eircode.

Might take some time before car manufacturers get this into their native navigation systems
At least Google did it and it is very useful for having used it a few times it is bang on all the time.

Do you have access to smartphone apps via the system? On my Nissan Pulsar I can link it to my phone and use Google search to find addresses, including via eircode, and then transfer the results to the built-in satnav.

Yes Google Maps is the Biz, put in the Eircode and it got be to the door of a very remote house in rural Wexford. very impressed far better then the Built in SatNav on the Ford. Yes Phone can be linked into SYNC with Android Auto.

    Bumped!

Was just wondering about this because I have a recently purchased Dacia with built in Sat Nav that is just not as good as Google Maps on my phone. However, I discovered, while driving in the north, that the Dacia integrated system can take UK post codes as destinations and it works really well, but can't do the same for Eircode.

Is this still the default for built in sat nav systems in cars in Ireland? Likely to change any time soon?
