    Castres:
    15. Julien Dumora; 14. Taylor Paris, 13. Afusipa Taumoepeau, 12. Robert Ebersohn, 11. David Smith; 10. Benjamin Urdapilleta, 9. Rory Kockott;
    1. Antoine Tichit, 2. Jody Jenneker, 3. Daniel Kotze, 4. Loic Jacquet, 5. Rodrigo Capo Ortega, 6. Yannick Caballero, 7. Steve Mafi, 8. Maama Vaipulu

    16. Marc-Antoine Rallier, 17. Mihaita Lazar, 18. Damien Tussac, 19. Christophe Samson, 20. Anthony Jelonch, 21. Ludovic Radosavljevic , 22. Florian Vialelle, 23. Armand Batlle

    Munster:
    Simon Zebo; Darren Sweetnam, Chris Farrell, Rory Scannell, Keith Earls; Tyler Bleyendaal, Conor Murray;
Dave Kilcoyne, Niall Scannell, Stephen Archer; Mark Flanagan, Billy Holland; Peter O’Mahony Capt., Tommy O’Donnell, CJ Stander.

Replacements: Rhys Marshall, Liam O’Connor, John Ryan, Robin Copeland, Jack O’Donoghue, Duncan Williams, Ian Keatley, Andrew Conway.

JJ Hanrahan is the flyhalf to miss out from last week's starting team. Another big selection call sees Darren Sweetnam ahead of Andrew Conway in the starting back three. Stephen Archer gets a big opportunity starting at tighthead ahead of John Ryan. Loan signing Mark Flanagan gets the start at lock with Robin Copeland dropping out.

Castres have traditionally been awful in Europe and Munster will hope to make a bright start in what is a favourable pool.

FYI thread title should say Sunday. You may want to change that.

Conway has been superior to Sweetnam all season but unfortunately is also way more versatile so perhaps the better option to come in and cover FB with Zebo's fitness on shaky ground.

JJ Hanrahan needs to turn things around very quickly. It's getting to the point where his repeated exclusion in favour of pretty mediocre players can't be ignored much longer.

He's played a game and a half since he's back from injury ... You've been taking Venjurs 'Hyperbole at Home" classes?

I don't know what's happening here but I was being serious. I think Conway is playing a lot better than Sweetnam, I think Conway can play wing or fullback and Zebo may well need cover early on.

I don't get what I've written here that is hyperbole.

You've answered my question tbh. A game and a half (plus one in the AIL) should be loads. He's not picked because Erasmus doesn't think he's good enough.

It's a point for debate. If you don't want to discuss, fine, there's no need to be a prick about it.

Might be helpful to some that this is on Sky Sports Action

JJ is not playing because of non-selection. End of IMO.

Bleyendaal has to repay the faith in him, because he's looked out of sorts this season.

He started off well...but then fell off a cliff with his kicking....he needs Murray beside him as they gel well together and he feeds off his confidence..
For all Williams good points he's no Murray and the 9/10 axis of Williams and TB just doesn't work against better sides

Big performance from the Leinster backrow just now. Up to POM and Stander now to perform to secure Ireland spots.

Is Hart doomed to be 2nd/3rd choice SH at every club he joins?

Been very poor in the few games i've seen him. Duncan ahead on merit.

Not if it’s an AIL or Championship club. Or if he comes on a lot from working with Murray,

Looking forward to this, no doubt Munster had an extra gear last weekend which will be needed today. Castres aren't great shakes but at home can make things heavy going. Best of luck!

An extra gear? As in they didn't try hard enough is it? Are you questioning their intensity Reggie?

Murray knew exactly what he was doing there.

Balls, good argument for a penalty try there surely, I'd be bulling if it was against us

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,721 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

That's a yellow for Zebo as well surely?

Bold prediction time. A win here and Munster have a home quarter sown up. None of the other teams in this pool will pick up away wins.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,079 ✭✭✭leakyboots

    Lucky boy Zebo

Zebos arm was out anyway...yellow would have been very harsh

Balls Farrell, we were building nicely there, soft score

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,721 ✭✭✭Erik Shin

No need for a skip pass there...too risky

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

Munster discipline has been woeful. Lucky to get away with a few things already. Over the top of a few rucks, Zebo lucky not to get a yellow. Still, Castres lucky with that score. If Munster can sort out their discipline they can win this.

    Shocker from Chris Farrell.
