Here comes €500 again, the rollercoaster continues. Why cant I set sell targets and stick to them with crypto? I do it all the time with shares.

EDIT: Blew through it in the time it took to type that. Also no need for another debate about dollar vs Euro pricing, obviously its the dollar levels that matter, still nice to see your holdings increasing in your home currency...

Reddit co-founder thinks its headed toward 15k. If it went to even 10% of that I'd be happy.

Headed to $15k in which time frame? Be careful about taking financial advice from Reddit...

His prediction was by the end of the year. I'd be happy with $1.5k..

He's also working for a VC fund now. Sold Reddit ages ago.

Is it anymore far fetched than McAfee’s $1,000,000 Bitcoin prediction :pac:

    Bulls are back.

Eth over $800, and BTC moving towards 10k

I'm wondering if this is going to turn out a bit like the way the stock markets go....

quick bit of uplift, then sell off in mid-late May, the bulls return to the markets and start buying again in September (after their summer holidays) ?

Needless to say, I'm delighted to see ETH on the up btw :)

    Thanks,

    G.

An interesting read on scaling issues effecting the Eth network.

Same, a buy order I'd forgotten about at €250. Last ETH I picked up was close to double this and I thought it was a bargain. Go figure!

Ah happy days ,I know it's madness ,I'd like to think we got it at a good price now but watch could go lower although I hope not!

Smacl, what do value you Eth at if you think $500 is a bargain and why do you reach that conclusion? Thanks

I think Ethereum can go quite a bit lower. Many of the ICOs are starting to dump their Ethereum holdings. Won't be surprised to see $150 in the near future. I sure ain't buying at current prices.

I think you missed my point. I'd thought €500 was a bargain when I bought, which in retrospect seems less likely be the case, whether or not €250 is remains to be seen. In all honesty, it was a buy order I'd pretty much forgotten about based on a low I didn't think we'd see, but I'm happy enough to let it ride. If ETH can get fully POS by this time next year, I think it has a bright future.

I knew at $1000 that ICOs were a poison chalice and it was inevitable what would come but still held on because of greed, Ive had a few okay trades in the last few months and still well in profit on my original stack but Ill be dumping that at €500 I think and just trading after that, the ICO boot still hasn't dropped imo, most of those projects are complete junk designed to gain free ETH for their (tiny) teams of creators, even the ones with any merit at all will still have to dump theirs on the market at some point so just as bad for holders as the scammers. Could have had a very good year if Id been more brave with my trades.

Then again maybe it'll break a new ATH in 2019, who actually knows?

I need to pay someone $100 in Eth. What's currently the cheapest and best way to do this?

Im not holding any Eth at the moment so will need to start from fiat.

SEPA to Kraken or Coinbase, buy ETH, send ETH.

Or PayPal friends or family who you know have ETH, they send ETH to you, you send to whoever it is who wants it.

You can exchange euro for ETH using a revolut account if you have one.

I think the only way to get it to them would be if they have a revolut account too though.

Wouldn't mind it tanking a bit more tbh. I'll make a decision at the end of the month when I have some more disposable income but I think I'd buy a few more :)

Here's the thing: I've been expecting a total wipeout for ages, but I honestly don't think this is the big one. I can see it coming back again...but I've been wrong before. Which is why I'm not selling my almost free stake yet.
Hmm...a bit sorry now I didn't sell the lot back at 700-800, but I took the precaution selling enough to cover the cost of my initial bet. Might as well ride this train all the way down at this stage :pac:

Probably for the best. The point it snaps back at is unpredictable to say the least.

I'm very suspicious of Thanksgiving after last year, am wondering if they want to make it a yearly special.
