Yes. In the documentary An Open Secret it seems that some of the victims go on to be recruiters themselves once they get too old to be as "valuable". They become part of the abuse ring and use the same tactics that were used on them to bring in new victims. making them a part of it also ensures that they will keep their silence. Possibly something similar with Sheen?

I am somewhat suprised at quite how bad and seemingly prevelent it seems to have been

While it was never going to be an ethical/moral example for the world...it seems to been so prevelent that it'll be same as catholic church here

Not everyone was guilty of x....but they mustve known and done nothing to stop it,which is a horrific moral issue to turn a blind eye to

I never knew all that about Charlie Sheen. It paints him in a different light to a person who fell to addiction and just went off the rails, as I had always thought was probably the case.

Assuming he did hurt Haim and was a seasoned abuser, it's possible we may never know how many other kids he victimized :(

There was a lot of mentions online in the last couple of years, you could be reading an unrelated film review and see "oh BTW it was Charlie Sheen who..." type of comments underneath. But before that I remember the times of their divorce with Denise Richards and how she was painted as a b*tch who was only after his money. It only turned when his vicious rants started.

I wonder what it feels like for someone like Ashton Kutcher (no allegations to be clear!) who first spent years on "That 70s Show" with Danny Masterson, now accused of four rapes, then replaced Charlie Sheen on "2 and a Half Men" and now is with Masterson in "The Ranch".

I thought Stephen Hyde was the best character :(

Here's a tough read. A man describes how he met Kevin Spacey at 12, when Spacey taught acting classes to children back in 1986, then met him again at 14 and they began what he then considered a consensual sexual relationship (he was earlier groomed by an older cousin). Only when Spacey attempted to forcibly rape him, the boy got out.
When did your thinking around what had happened start to change?
When do I start to think of him as a sexual predator?

Yeah. I assume you would call him that now.
I would call him that to his face. I would call him a pedophile and a sexual predator. When I turned 25, I looked at every 14-year-old boy I could see, to try to understand what those men had seen, because I still on some level thought I had been a tiny adult. That whole year I was 25, I tried to just see the ones who were like six-foot-two, and 200 pounds — they all looked like children. They all looked like somebody who was 10 years old four years ago. Nobody looks ****able. Nobody … I couldn’t conjure it up. I couldn’t conjure up the desire. It was nauseating to think of having sex with them, and that was, I think, certainly when I understood, on a very deep level, these men were ****ed up. Up until then, I just thought about him as somebody who had really done me wrong and tried to rape me, but not as somebody who had functioned as a predator. And then, if you’re interested in sexual predation, you start to read about it, and you realize all these patterns and techniques, and it all kind of falls within a set of practices.

Remember seeing a clip years ago of Feldman outside some nightclub and a reporter compared him to Charlie and he says something like 'Nah, I'm nothing like Charlie Sheen, I don't need to pay women to be in my life'.

    Found that clip........

Denise Richards is an actual saint to put up with his carry on over the years. She even took in his kids that he has with Brooke Mueller when she entered rehab and God knows where Charlie was. Off riding half of Playboy no doubt. Last I read Denise and Brooke were teaming up to sue him for child support. I think Denise had to give up looking after Brooke's kids because they were too violent. He then evicted Denise and his own children from their home. I just hate seeing innocent kids get the brunt of all this shlt it boils my blood.

    Jesus, those poor kids.

I need to start reading gossip sites, so much on this thread is news to me.

I remember reading about the behaviour of the twins he had with Brooke Mueller when it came out that Denise Richards could no longer care for them. They sound incredibly damaged through no fault of their own, it's a horrible situation . Its amazing that social services haven't stepped in. Richards did well to try and help but at the end of the day she has to put the safety of her own children first. She seems like a good mother

Spacey and Weinstein weren't news to me, or Feldmans allegations, but there's a pretty drastic signal noise ratio on those sites.

For the guts of the last century there's been a very complex toxic little web of a relationship between Hollywood and the press and the internet has exploded it, and given a platform to people to air their views and experiences when, not to put too fine a point on it, a lot of those people are psychotic or delusional and their illness is fixated on celebrity.

The scary thing is that Weinstein's activities and what Feldman is talking about really aren't so far away from someone's paranoid schizophrenic delusion that you'd read under a YouTube video.

As long as I've been conscious of the news the Catholic church has been on a downward spiral, it never had a pedestal to fall from really. But it seems like Hollywood is toppling now like the church did in the 90s, it's making me understand how people experienced the church scandals.

Now an accusation has been made against Jeffrey Tambor from Transparent. Dunno what to believe on this.

As well as Robert Knepper from Prison Break. He played T-bag.

Disturbing details about Knepper, again, if true.

Was just reading posts regarding Ed.

I don't think any case in which someone is named and accused on social media should be pursuable in court. Even when someone is found not guilty the stigma remains that *there is no smoke without fire*.

I understand the idea that it allows others to "come forward" but where someone has placed an incredibly descriptive Post online does it not also provides a platform for others to concoct similar stories?

I don't understand why anyone feels the need to post it online with a name in the first place, once the trial is over absolutely share a story but until then everyone is innocent until proven guilty..

Oh yeah give Kevin Spacey a smack in the gob! It was an unwanted sexual advance so victims can't freeze up am I right? You've obviously never went through any unwanted sexual advance so you're talking out of your behind. Not every victim of a sexual assault knows instinctively to lash out physically but mentally they can't cope with what's going on so they freeze.

Well, it so happens that when I started my first job at 18, I was groped by another male staff member in a sexually suggestive way. I told him to f**k off or I would give him a kick in the balls. I had no trouble from him after that. It turned out that he tried it on with every new male that started in the office.

Well aren't you great. Unfortunately not everyone reacts in the same way to an unexpected and unwanted groping. Especially when drunk, as this guy was.

So Allison Mack, aka Chloe from Smallville, is second in command of a Hollywood sex cult. What the hell is this?

The NY times did a story on this in October-it's seriously Scientology like, but on a smaller scale.

This is seriously a brave move-like, I'm not joking, Ridley Scott's getting serious points from me. The movie's due out in a month. Yes, the stress on production time will be mental. But imagine how Spacey's victims will feel being able to see a film and knowing they won't have to go through ptsd.

Ridley Scott is an embarrassment. An opportunist looking for brownie points it seems. Good luck with your movie. You may need it since you cast little Marky Mark in the lead role.

Pretty it up all you want but a man claiming to be a victim over something so insignificant is cringeworthy. It's merely the feeling of warmth people receive from being the victim that drives so many to cry wolf in this day and age.

Maybe it's just because he knows that any film with Kevin Spacey is going to be box office poison?

Wouldn't the obvious question now for Scott be, did you cast him knowing the allegations that are now in the public domain?

If he did, meh, he gets no huge credit from me for reacting to the leak of Hollywood's dirty secret, in order to keep the money rolling in. The points would have been earned had Spacey gone for the role and Ridley Scott told the media he was turned down because Scott wanted to protect the younger actors on the set.

    True story.

A friend of mines mother was an extra in tons of movies and also a good friend of Brenda fricker. Years ago his mam and fricker were at a premier/party for something in London and in swans spacey holding hands with a blonde Scandinavian male model, no more than 18 or 19yrs old..
He was eating the face of him all night but it was just taken as, "oh dats our Kevin", the little in the closet scamp! fricker made the comment to his mam that spacey was, a low life or words to that affect. That was well over 10-15yrs ago when I heard that.

How Ironic is his role in LA confidential, when he sets up the awe struck young aspiring actor kid, to have sex with a male producer....saying it's the done thing...art imitates life eh.

Another for David Blaine. Thought the statement from his publicist odd:
My client vehemently denies that he raped or sexually assaulted any woman, ever, and he specifically denies raping a woman in 2004

Eh, why specifically not in 2004?? Was his penis not working that year. Bizarre.

Meanwhile, one of Mariah Carey's ex security guards is accusing her of sexual harassment:
.......the security guard – Michael Anello, who worked for Carey from 2015 to 2017 — alleged that the entertainer humiliated Anello by referring to him as a member of various hate groups.

Carey purportedly called Anello — who is white — a Nazi and a Skinhead and said that she “wanted to be surrounded with black guys, not white people.”

Anello’s draft also claimed that Carey committed “sexual acts with the intent that they be viewed by Anello.”

He alleged that during a trip to Mexico, Carey requested that he visit her room to move luggage around.

When he arrived, Carey reportedly wore a see-through negligee, which was left open.

Anello said that he attempted to leave, but Carey insisted he move the luggage. He added that he ended up leaving the room and that there was no physical contact.

In addition to the allegations of sexual misconduct and racial abuse, Anello alleged that Carey also stiffed him on hundreds of thousands of dollars in wages from 2015 to 2017.

I'm not remotely surprised that Mariah is a creep - she comes across as a damaged, attention hungry nightmare. Would run a mile from working anywhere near her

I really don't know if you're taking the piss with the last line. Not to be glib but you could choose to not watch the movie if you think his presence could trigger a negative response. I'm sure that's what Mark Wahlberg's victims will have to do.

Mark Wahlberg's victims? I completely missed that one, is he another abuser?

It doesn't really. If you were accused of stealing something in work last Thursday you wouldnt' say ' I have never stolen anything, particularly last Thursday'

His hobby when he was younger was beating up minorities in racially motivated attacks and he nearly got prosecuted for attempted murder because of the severity of one of his attacks. But he's got a winning smile and a great Boston accent so no one brings up his scumbag past.
