I applied and received link to do assessment, need to research it before I do it.
Would help if anyone has done it to give an insight of what is involved

Hi Carrie

I applied last year so it seems to be the same way as this year.. I completed the online exam last night . There’s 48 question in the first exams and it’s just basically commen sence and it’s not to hard there’s no right or wrong answer.
The second one is 18 questions it’s about different scenarios on board the aircraft and your giving options like to what you would do ...
The third exam is 48 questions that’s timed for 12 mins but it’s ok if u can’t answer the full 48 questions it’s just verbal information.

Yes I also done the online assessment and I’m waiting to hear back if I passed to the next stage to do the video interview.

I got my online assessment last Tuesday and I had till Saturday gone to complete it.

I’ve applied and got pass the assessment and have a video interview soon...

Been searching online for questions that may come up but there’s nothing said about the video interview just the telephone one

I done completed my assessment last Sunday and just received my email for the video interview tonight! So happy but a nervous wreck at the same time

Anyone got any ideas of what the questions will be like?? All past posts just said about telephone interview and not video

I too received an email for the online interview. I am happy but nervous as hell as I never did an online interview before, don't know what to expect.

I haven't heard anything either. Such a shame as didn't think the online assessments were too bad.

Does anyone know how long these contracts run for? I'm aware they're seasonal with some staff being kept on after but just curious as to what Aer Lingus considers the "summer".

Based on info posted in the previous thread (linked in post 1) it’s generally March-October. But some posters previously posted that they were trained in May and got contract extended to November/December.

I just did the video interview there. Thought it went ok. Just be aware once you try the practice question, it moves straight to the real thing. You can't review the practice question either so make sure you're happy with how you look beforehand!
Did anyone get a confirmation email after completing the video interview? The app just said it was submitted.

Going to do video interview tomorrow I reckon, you have to do it on a phone or tablet yeah? Rather than Skype on a laptop, never done one on a phone before.

Thanks, I've done a few video interviews before so I wasn't that nervous. That being said, I did stumble over my words once or twice. The questions were grand and were standard enough - why aer lingus, role of cabin crew etc. It was over very quickly.

Yeah, I'm used to using skype for these things so was a bit put off using my phone but hopefully, it was ok!

Hi guys!

This is my third time I've applied for CC. Last year I made it to the video interviews, but I wasn't successful. I would like to give you some tips, but I can't remember a single question from the last year's interview. Ha ha! I can't even remember the whole interview, I was so nervous.
I'm planning to do mine tomorrow. Have you done yours?

My daughter did the video interview on Friday.

Didn't help that she started to shake while holding her phone.

Dont think mine went well, a lot of "em" and "ah", holding the phone was also a bit awkward compared to a Skype or laptop based interview. First time doing a mobile type interview so learning curve I guess.

Mine went terribly....I was under the impression we got a few practise questions and that we could watch them back....but after one practise question it went straight into the real thing and there's me thinking I'm still practising! Disaster

I haven’t either I’m still waiting I emailed last week They said they are still assessing people and that we will get an email in due course so fingers crossed we hear something soon

I have done the online assessments and have also completed the video interview last week..
I will admit the video interview was awkward and I'm not sure how I did to be honest as I stuttered slightly but it was nerves! I believe the next step is a face to face interview , has anyone heard anything since?

Did my video interview last week too. Hopefully we hear something soon. Last years face to face interviews started early December so they will have to start emailing people soon.

I hear only some people are getting the video interviews now since last week.. they are obviously sending more emails so I doubt we will hear anytime soon.. has anyone heard anything yet?

Hi everyone,

I was successful in last years recruitment and trained up this summer. To anyone who is stressing about not hearing anything, don't worry too much. I applied last October 2016, did my online assessments and then heard nothing for weeks. I then got an email for the video interview and when I did that, I heard nothing again for weeks! Then was contacted about an assessment day and face to face interview in December and then I didn't hear whether I had gotten the job or not until February 2017.

I do however remember that I was contacted by phone about being successful with my video interview and was invited to as assessment day in the training centre in Dublin Airport some time afterwards in December. This was followed up with an email from HR with details of the assessment day.
