VHI Swiftcare wait times

I phoned VHI swiftcare this evening when I found out that my son had an injury. He was on his way home from a school trip. I was informed about costs & told that wait times were on the website.

I monitored www.vhi.ie all evening and, while Dundrum showed that it was busy, Swords reported 2-4 minute waits all evening. We arrived at Swords swiftcare at 9.30pm. I know this was late but closing time is 10pm. They would not see us.

I asked about these wait times as reported on the website. They are the wait times for the nurse. The wait times for a doctor are not reported.

If they stop seeing patients at 9.30 pm with a view to closing at 10pm, then perhaps they should report this on the website. At 9.50pm wait times for Swords were 6 minutes, though they were not seeing anymore patients.

Take no notice of the short Swiftcare wait times on the VHI website!

You've put your observations in writing to VHI I hope?
