Im in 6th year & trying to decide what I want to do. I would rather go to UCD but the 3rd year in trinity where you specialise in something seems better with much more to choose from.. has anyone done these courses?

Where did you see this? I did a quick search and saw you specialise in your third year and have 16 options.

There are around 26 specialisation options (disregarding joint degrees) in UCD Science.

There's 26 potential degrees to choose from in UCD science there are only 16 in trinity. UCD science gives you the option to pursue a maths degree while trinity doesn't.

I would recommend UCD first of all based on the course options and speaking to people who went there, having said that Trinity has an excellent Theoretical physics and chemistry programme and the NPCAM is meant to be a great course.

Just to note, the General Science course in Trinity has changed for next year. You now pick 1 of 4 routes to enter through:

    Biological and Biomedical Sciences
    Chemical Sciences
    Geography and Geoscience
    Physical Sciences

See pages 152 and 153 of the prospectus:

EDIT: Sorry I'm actually wrong. They still have General Science available it's just called Science - Advanced Entry now :P
