    I am fortunate that I have the means, and the support, that if I needed to travel, I could.

    If I did not, I would do whatever I had to to end the pregnancy.

    It is not ok that we can happily maintain the "moral" high ground in Ireland because the financially stable can go elsewhere, and **** the poor.

    The ability to go elsewhere shouldn't matter. If some people can afford to travel, they will. The ones that can't won't. Should I feel sorry for them?

    However you can't argue that mothers were abandoned once they gave birth.
    Unfortunately there are thousands of those experiences we will never get to hear because they either mysteriously died and got chucked in unmarked graves or a septic tank, or they got sold to the highest bidder, often abroad, not knowing where they came from. Unlike women undergoing abortions, I doubt many of those women knew the risks/dangers/neglect involved and willingly wanted to go to them, do you?

    Self does exist, and is protected by the constitution here.
