Does anyone know if Garbage tour with all original members these days? Will still go see them but would love to hear Butch Vig live

    New additions

Seamus Fogarty is a serious addition for me. Debut album maybe my fave of 2017, Guardian gave it five stars and he’s excellent live. Also a droll & witty stage manner.

I wouldn't put Ben Howard in the same group as those, have you listened to his stuff? Its a couple of levels above.

I’ll give it a try on your recommendation. Based my judgement on prior stuff & a dull Hyde Park support performance.

His stuff is quite deep, I think you would really need to know it beforehand.

Went to see Seamus in Kilkenny there earlier in the year, he’s a class act.

Isn’t he just? He’s probably my favorite amongst the newer acts of the past two years. A little bit John Martyn, a lot trad & a few Aphex/Radiohead bleeps. Would prefer him on the main B&S stage though.

Buzz.ie had mentioned it too, but could have been just recovering Leinster express's story

The Murder Capital on that Other Voices stage would be incredible.
Only recently discovered them, one of the most intense live bands you'll ever see. Genuinely menacing feel to them.

    That tent will be jammed.

Last call for shouts for tomorrow, bland Irish acts aside??
My last call for non Irish bands at a level I'm realistic might be acheivable, and without checking schedules
The Horrors , IDLES, Cabbage, Ride, James, The Blinders, The Charlatans, Super Furries, Steve Mason, Young Fathers (even though played last year), The Specials , The Streets, The Vaccines ( guilty pleasure , sorry!) Yeah Yeah Yeahs,Public Enemy, Jurassic 5, Mike D dj, Battles , Slowdive , Blossoms, Warpaint,Simple Minds & The Stranglers for Sunday
If I get 4 or 5 of that lot I'd be really happy on top of getting a lot of great Irish bands young and old with a lot of dance /  dj stuff thrown in on top, and a rave in the woods on way to bed :)

To all the people heading to ATN tomorrow, I hope you have a great time & eagerly awaiting feedback here. The contrast with EP will be interesting and am hoping for a successful start as Reynolds & Pod deserve it for setting up the Picnic. Particularly want to know how Frahm & Mogwai went.

I see the kittster is playing. Maybe he could take a tent full time to avoid the Dublin rents !

Going to see them this Thursday in Whelan’s, looking forward to it. Support from Melts whose few songs I’m looking so far.

haha they don't have anything on spotify, they do have a video recorded for something called the SOMA sessions, I think....

Stranglers are a good shout for that spot, saw them a few months ago and wasn’t really impressed, Therapy were much better.

We've had both Simple Minds and Stranglers in recent years, would doubt it's them again.
