Hey guys, I am looking for a good butcher in south Dublin area, where is good to pop into for a look?

Ideally want to be loading up once a week on beef, chicken and maybe a few extra treats.

    Thanks

Fit Foods in Stillorgan is good (beside Lidl). I've found Kerrigans online to be great, although a little expensive.

Do you mean Dublin Meat company? I don't find them great to be honest - good value enough in terms of pricing but found their mince and steak a bit bland and prefer to buy Irish chicken fillets (just a personal preference thing) which they don't do. They mainly just do the prepacked stuff as well I think.

Fenelons in Stillorgan is pricey enough but do have a good selection and I find the quality good - pork chops in particular (very lean and they do 6 for €7 which s good as they are usually 130g or so each).

I know this is blasphemy to some, but if you are just looking for standard stuff (chicken fillets, standard steak cuts, pork chops etc.) I find the supermarkets (lidl, aldi, tesco, SV) all do good stuff, which is traceable and clearly labelled in terms of sources etc. so you know exactly what you are getting and the prices will be very competitive with most butchers I would have thought. For more specialty stuff or different cuts obviously butchers offer a much better service.
