Apple Event September 12th

iClarified are reporting that there will be an Apple Event on September 12th to announce the iPhone 8, 7s and 7s Plus. Tuesday September 12th is the reported date, with tentative release date of September 22nd. (1st wave being US, UK and Australia i think)

Yeah sure, try it on your phone it won't work (and actually on a phone which has a home button it's not that necessary as it kind of duplicates the function of the button ... which is probably why it's only coming this year with the removal of the home button on the X)
