No plate, no NCT, looks like an import. Is price reflective of any VRT due?

Good spot on the NCT. I'll ring them about the VRT.

A dealer should not be selling it without VRT included in the price. I'd also be doing a full HPI check on the UK registration and verifying the service history with the UK garages that serviced it.

    Thanks bazz.

Just rang them and is a UK import, price included VRT and new NCT however they don't have the service history so wouldn't touch it with a barge pole!

    Saggart Motors.
    Thanks

Just looked at it and it’s coming up as sold. They may have withdrawn it though.

Thread is 6 months old so it's probably just sold.

I'd be of the view that if you have to ask then...
Why would you consider an imported car that has no history over the ones here? Is there something better with the one you've seen.
Irrespective of service history, you should have the car checked by an independent mechanic before you part with any money!

It's a high spec import which ticks all the boxes for what i want in the cars I've been looking at bar history, mileage is very low. I have someone doing a history check for me just waiting for results and doing my homework on the dealer here is all.

Mileage means very little if there’s no history.

It would be unusual to not have a service history on a car like this.

No there's a 2013 one as well, green in colour it's a lot cleaner than the one you seen.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,520 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

I had a 2011 Ce'ed with the same "tiger" grille type. Not sure about on the Sportage but Kia were definitely using that grille in 2011

Only thing that strikes me as odd is that it’s a very recent reg. Usually a garage would wait till it’s sold before VRTing and taxing it.

The 2011 has horizontal slats usually.

That’s what I thought. From what I can see that grille came in 2014 (on sportages) in Ireland anyway.

He only recently brought it in, told me how much vrt was and went through hpi with me. Said he bought it at an auction but history checks out
