    Hi,

I am intimidated by Squat area/machine and big dead lift bars and chest press bars etc.. hence never used those. I want to overcome that, i still do squats and chest press and deadlifts but with dumbbells. I want to overcome that. Hence was looking for a personal trainer to guide me through it and just get me in that big weights area :o
How do I go about it? Just walk up to reception and ask them for random appointment or should i ask for particular personal trainer?
I want to get the best out of the session hence wondering.
Please excuse my terms for machines, I don't know what they are called.
    Would appreciate any insights.

    Regards

On the way to the changing rooms or along another corridor there should be a wall with a load of PT posters - have a look at them, read their profiles and pick one - call him/her and set an appointment

Aaahhh ... ok cool... thanks a lot for your help. Will do so then. Do they provide more details about their expertise/interests/experience ?

yeah there'll be a headshot of each trainer and a full bio which includes their background and areas of specialty.
I'm in a ben dunne gym tho and some of the PT's I see aren't great, so read the bio and observe the one you pick a bit, maybe even ask other members opinions, maybe a reference from an existing client

have you found a PT? If not, I'll offer up my services. Going to start working towards my PT certification here soon, but am prior military (US Army) and was the point person for physical training in my unit as well as for cadets in my battalion while in the Reserve Officer Training Corps. I'd offer my services at a great price as I try to start my practice here in Dublin.
