Mobile provider claiming i owe them money from 2 years previous!!!

Today i received a bill out of nowhere from a debt collection company for 280euro. The bill is for a mobile provider that i was with two years ago. Contact the original provider for a copy of all correspondence and data held about your account, you can get this under Data Protection regulations for €6 if they are in any way hesitant. If there was a genuine gap then pay something for this, can get any record of non payment removed.

I spoke with provider and am waiting for them to contact me back with some information as they currently don't know what it is all about.
