These will probably go very quickly. Check out the thread on HUKD here

These are £50 on Amazon new with the English layout. Amazon

Portuguese version is probably the best one to go for here

No use for it right now, but bought two of these the Bluetooth connectivity will be handy.

Anyone any use cases for Bluetooth right now? These connect to Samsung TVs etc.?

Cheers for this, will be very handy paired with the firestick & kodi. Using remote to type in searches is a pain in the gee.

Id go for the Czech or Hebrew layout. The Portuguese has a few extra keys that are useless for English.

    Cheers OP

If I order 2 of these I take it they will come in the 1 delivery so only have pay parcel motel once?

The Portuguese keyboard would be best to order yeah?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 1,855 ✭✭✭Charlie Haughy

Ordered the Hebrew keyboard. Not sure why OP is recommending the Portuguese one. It looks super annoying with all the language specific keys on the right.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,432 ✭✭✭StaticNoise

If I am correct, you should be able to remove the keys and remap them?
Getting the closest to English as possible, as stated above, and then remapping them might be a good shout, if doable.

I think you can on android pretty easily, hence getting a keyboard with the same number of keys as a UK keyboard is recommended. The Hebrew one seems good, you'll quickly train yourself to ignore the smaller Hebrew letters on the letter keys.

I must need therapy or help of some description.

I bought a standard UK one of these at full price about two years ago and never used it, and now got a Hebrew one in case the one I don't use breaks down.

I just tried this and put 2 in my basket and it was charging me double for delivery.

So does that mean if I used parcel motel and ordered 2 it would charge me 2 parcel motels?

    Do they send them seperatly?

No immediate requirement but when that day comes and I smack this beauty down on the table, I will be given all of the adoration and glory.

That's bizarre because it says £5.99 postage to Ireland for the Portuguese one. I actually ordered a second one, this time in Hebrew, but just assumed the P&P would be the same so used PM again. Looks like I paid ~€1.50 too much!!!!!

Thanks OP, was actually looking for something like this to use with my Windows tablet. This is perfect, and ridiculously cheap.

Cheers OP, got mine today, Portuguese one.
Quality bit of kit, well worth it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 53 ✭✭whiskeygirl

Got mine today too, very well built bit of kit for less than a tenner. Works perfectly with my fire stick and Kodi!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,359 ✭✭✭DubDJ

Mine arrived today as well. The thing is very premium looking. Much better than expected. The cover/tablet stand is the biggest dust magnet I've ever seen though.

Got the Hebrew one, looks like the best one as the extra letters are hardly noticeable. It only cost £2 pound shipping too which was cheaper than the others. Cost less than €8.50 delivered, no parcel motel needed.

    Hi

Question for those who ordered from trusted_goods through Ebay.

I ordered this keyboard on Monday and received an email from Ebay saying that the order was confirmed and they would let me know when it's on it's way.

Since then nothing. No notification to say it had been despatched.

    Have others received this notification?

    Thanks in advance

  • Log into My eBay and check the little icons next to the purchased item. I didn't get a dispatch notification for either of mine but the little black icon next to the pound sign was filled in.

Which one did you order? That is exactly what I wanted to use mine for so I'll test when I get it later.

Could a mild solvent be used, isopropyl alcohol or similar, to remove the Hebrew lettering?

Great deal. €8.70 delivered direct. Ebay's Sterling exchange is a piss take.

    .

I'd say there's no chance that would work. But sure for the price you just can't go wrong.

The Portuguese one. Connects to my phone but unable to pair to mibox which I think it's the mibox that has the problems

Starting a Russian course in a few weeks so picked up the Russian version. Great deal OP. Thanks :)

(Russian version is a bit more expensive but still a great deal)

Sadly, P&P has gone up in the last 12 hours. £5.99 now, it seems.

I'm surprised the Russian layout hasn't sold more.

Ordered. Dunno why. I have a small Bluetooth keyboard already... which I don't use as I don't really have anything to connect it to. Best to be prepared though!

    I know the feeling, I'm typing this on a logitech K380.. :o

That keyboard is close to perfect, soft push button is better than a dial or slide switch, which most other brands seem to use, for selecting the device you're typing on.

The newer generation of Microsoft keyboard are recharge only, as far as I can tell. I prefer AAA.

I got a Portuguese one but the wrong characters come up when typed.
    e.g. press ? I get a - sign
press shift 7 get a & and not the / on the keyboard
So basically I get whats on an english keyboard but not whats displayed on the MS wedge keys.

Hebrew version worked out €8.34 delivered to ROI worth Revolut, thanks OP! Like many others I have no idea why I'm buying it. I bought a Logitech similar one on TWO previous alerts and neither ever left their packaging! Maybe this time I'll finally use the thing. Now to find smarter TV (than my current ones) that will allow a Bluetooth keyboard connection!
